The new musical ROCKY, starring Andy Karl and Margo Seibert, opens tonight, March 13, at Broadway's historic Winter Garden Theatre. Scroll down to learn more about the full company, plus watch footage of Sylvester Stallone's speech following the first preview of Rocky on Broadway!

ROCKY features an original score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, the celebrated Tony Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated songwriters behind Ragtime, Once on This Island, and Anastasia, and a book by multiple Tony Award winner Thomas Meehan (The Producers, Hairspray, Annie) and Sylvester Stallone, who was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for the 1976 Oscar-winning Best Picture, Rocky.

The production is directed by Alex Timbers, the Tony-nominated director behind the acclaimed musicals Here Lies Love and Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson, as well as Peter and the Starcatcher, which continues to run off-Broadway. The musical features choreography by Steven Hoggett, who received a Tony Award nomination for his work on Once and Kelly Devine, best known for the long-running Broadway hit Rock of Ages.

The ROCKY cast features Andy Karl (Rocky), Margo Seibert (Adrian), Terence Archie (Apollo Creed), Dakin Matthews (Mickey) Danny Mastrogiorgio (Paulie), Jennifer Mudge (Gloria) and ensemble members Adrian Aguilar,Eric Anderson, Michelle Aravena, James Brown III, Sam J. Cahn, Vincent Corazza, Kevin Del Aguila, Ned Eisenberg, Bradley Gibson,Stacey Todd Holt, Sasha Hutchings, David Andrew Macdonald, Vasthy Mompoint, Vince Oddo, Okieriete Onaodowan, Adam Perry, Kristin Piro, Luis Salgado, John Schiappa, Samantha Shafer, Wallace Smith, Jenny LeeStern, Dan'yelle Williamson and Mark Zimmerman.

ROCKY brings to life the iconic and inspiring story of struggling small time Philly boxer, Rocky Balboa, who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to go the distance against heavyweight champ Apollo Creed. Both an adrenaline-infused spectacle and a surprising story of blossoming romance between two lonely outsiders, ROCKY is a heart-stopping and viscerally theatrical new musical for everyone brave enough to follow their dream.


ANDY KARL
(Rocky Balboa)

Andy Karl recently concluded a return performance on Broadway as Tommy DeVito in Jersey Boys, following his critically acclaimed performance as Neville Landless in the Broadway revival of The Mystery of Edwin Drood, for which he was nominated for a 2013 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical. A native of Baltimore, Andy's parents enrolled him in an after school theatre program in high school to "keep him out of trouble," and what started as a way to channel his energy soon became a passion. After moving to New York a few years later, Karl quickly made an impression in the theatre community starring in Romeo and Bernadette, for which he received a Carbonell nomination, the Off-Broadway production of Saturday Night working alongside Stephen Sondheim and Kathleen Marshall, and his stand out performance as Luke, the thuggish rapper in the original cast of Altar Boyz. Andy went on to star in numerous Broadway productions including 9 to 5, Legally Blonde (ACCA Award), and On the 20th Century, among many others. His film and TV roles include Joyful Noise; Rob Reiner's And So It Goes (opposite Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton); "Legally Blonde: The Search for Elle Woods"; On the One; and New York, I Love You.

MARGO SEIBERT
(Adrian)

Margo Seibert will make her Broadway debut as Adrian. She was seen in the Off-Broadway production ofTamar of the River at Prospect Theatre Co. Regionally she has performed in Candide at the Goodman Theatre/ Shakespeare Theatre Co.; In This House, Orestes: A Tragic Romp at Two River Theatre Co.; Arcadia at the Folger Theatre; The Boy Detective Fails at Signature Theatre; Next to Normal and Pregnancy Pact at the Weston Playhouse; as well as new work development at Playwrights Horizons, the O'Neill, New Dramatists and NAMT. She has appeared on television on "Boardwalk Empire."

TERENCE ARCHIE
(Apollo Creed)

Terence Archie has returned to New York after originating the role of Apollo Creed in the Hamburg production ofRocky. Terence was last seen on Broadway in Ragtime and Off-Broadway as the title character in the critically acclaimed play, The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity, at Second Stage Theatre, a role he re-created in the show's West Coast premiere at the Geffen Playhouse. Other notable credits include Shakespeare Theatre Company's productions of Two Gents: A Rock Opera, Tamburlaine the Great, and Edward the II; and Arabian Nights at Arena Stage and Berkeley Rep. His TV credits include "Law & Order" and "One Life to Live." Terrence is a Detroit native and North Carolina School of the Arts graduate.

DAKIN MATTHEWS
(Mickey)

Broadway credits include The Best Man (Senator Carlin), A Man for All Seasons (Cardinal Wolsey), and Henry IV (Warwick/Glendower; Bayfield and Drama Desk Award). His many Off-Broadway credits include Measure for Measure (Provost) and All's Well That Ends Well (Lafew), Shakespeare in the Park; Where's Charley(Spettigue), Encores; The Winter's Tale (Antigonus) and The Cherry Orchard (Pishchik), Bridge Project at BAM and world tour; Freedomland (Noah), Playwrights Horizons; The School for Scandal (Sir Peter/Sir Oliver), The Hostage (Pat), Acting Company. Regionally he has appeared in over 200 productions, including All The Way(A.R.T.); The Nether, The History Boys, The Wood Demon, The Real Thing, Hedda Gabler (CTG, Los Angeles);Misalliance, Shadowlands, Major Barbara, Hamlet (South Coast Rep); Prince of L.A, Much Ado About Nothing, A Midsummer Night's Dream (Old Globe); Three Sisters, Uncle Vanya, A Christmas Carol (ACT, San Francisco);Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Dallas Theatre Center); and King Lear (PICT). Film: over 25 films, including the recentLincoln, True Grit, Zero Charisma. DANNY MASTROGIORGIO
(Paulie)

Danny Mastrogiorgio is a veteran of stage, television and film. He was recently seen in last season's critically acclaimed Broadway productions of Lucky Guy and Golden Boy. Other Broadway credits include A Steady Rainand Wait Until Dark. His extensive Off-Broadway work includes Burning (New Group); The Hallway Trilogy(Rattlestick); Stunning (LCT3); Roadkill Confidential (Clubbed Thumb); Sailors Song (LAByrinth); Wintertime (Second Stage); Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui (National Actors); Two Gentlemen of Verona (NYSF); ATOYD(Utility Players). He has also worked regionally at The McCarter Theater, The Long Wharf, The Denver Center, Old Globe San Diego, Pittsburgh City Theater, St. Louis Rep, and Kansas City Rep. TV credits include "Bluebloods," "Prime Suspect," "Person of Interest," "White Collar," "The Book of Daniel" (series regular), "The Unusuals," "Law & Order: SVU," "Criminal Intent," "The Sopranos," "The Last Don Parts I, II" and "Third Watch." Upcoming films are Gods Pocket and The Mend. His previous film work includes: One For The Money, Fighting; Beware The Gonzo, Backseat, Sleeper, Enchanted, The Producer, Blackbird and Dead Broke. Mastrogiorgio is a graduate of Julliard and a New York City native.
