St. James Box Office for Broadway's Revamped SIDE SHOW Opens Next Week

When the box office for Side Show, at Broadway's St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street), opens on Monday, October 6 at 10:00 a.m., the first 100 ticket-buyers on line will receive a voucher for a free copy of Side Show's recently announced, new original Broadway cast recording. Each of the cast recordings given away will be autographed by the creative team, which includes Academy Award winning director Bill Condon, multiple Grammy Award winning and Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Tony Award nominated composer Henry Krieger, and Tony Award nominated book writer and lyricist Bill Russell.

As was announced earlier today, the all-new Broadway cast recording of Side Show will be released on Broadway Records in early 2015. Boasting Side Show's legendary and beloved score, which now includes new music, and featuring the acclaimed vocal performances of the recently-revealed Broadway cast of the upcoming, totally reimagined production, the new original Broadway cast recording of Side Show will be produced by six-time Grammy Award winning producer Frank Filipetti and will be released in the theater, stores and on iTunes in early 2015. Side Show will begin previews performances at Broadway's St. James Theatre on Tuesday, October 28 with an official Opening Night on Monday, November 17. Featuring a "supercharged score" (Charles Isherwood, New York Times), Side Show includes new music by multiple Grammy Award winner and Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Tony Award nominee Henry Krieger (Dreamgirls), with book and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Bill Russell and additional book material by Bill Condon, and choreography by Tony and Olivier Award nominee Anthony Van Laast (Mamma Mia).

Side Show is inspired by the remarkable true story of the Hilton twins, Daisy and Violet, who were legends in their time and the highest paid performers on the vaudeville circuit. Side Show is their heartwarming search for first love and acceptance amidst the spectacle of fame and scrutiny under the spotlight.
