Sebastian La Cause, the multi-faceted actor, known for his work on Broadway and most recently in the Netflix original Orange Is The New Black, Homeland and the critically acclaimed indie-feature Keep The Lights On was the big winner at this year's Indie Series Awards, which was held in Los Angeles for the first time. La Cause's drama Hustling took home the night's top honor, Best Drama Series. Recently completing its third and final season, Hustling can be found on Youtube at, www.HustlingTheWebSeries.com and was this year's most nominated series with nine nods - including writing, soundtrack and Lead Actor for La Cause.

At the ceremony, that was held at the El Portal Theater in North Hollywood on April 2, Hustling also won in the Best Supporting Actor category for Gerald MaCullouch - best known for his work in the Bear City films and as Bobby on CBS's CSI.

Hustling also received high marks at the LA Web Fest. This festival, which screens over 300 of the worlds finest webs shows over the course of five days, awarded Hustling four awards: Outstanding writing for creator/director La Cause, Outstanding Supporting Actress for Sharon Washington (Michael Clayton, The Bourne Legacy), Outstanding Guest Star for Stephen Guarino (ABC's Happy Endings) and for Outstanding Series, Dramedy.

SYNOPSIS: Hustling follows Ryan Crosby (La Cause) a male escort/adult film star who hits forty and realizes his life is not what he envisioned. He struggles with how to initiate change and uncovers a passion for cooking. With some Tough Love from his land lady (Rubin-Vega) and the help of a chef (McCullouch) who teaches him the ins and outs of fine cuisine, Crosby is set off on the path to transformation - which is filled with sex romps, peculiar situations and constant reminders of the WORLD he's trying to leave behind. The series explores how using sex as a transaction can create a false sense of control that once gone will leave you hustling to pick up the pieces and how in the end we are all struggling to live better lives.

The smart and sexy series includes an exceptional ensemble cast, including Daphne Rubin-Vega (Rent - TONY nom, Anna In The Tropics - TONY nom, Smash), Gerald McCullouch (CSI, House, Bones, Bear City), Kevin Spirtas (Days Of Our Lives), Sharon Washington (Michael Clayton, The Bourne Legacy, The Scottsboro Boys), Mara Davi (Smash), Robert Montano (Shame, Blue Bloods, Army Wives), Jessica Press (My Man Is A Looser), Andrew Glaszek (Leather) and Stephen Guarino (Happy Endings, Logo's Big Gay Sketch Show). Guest stars include Broadway leading man Jim Newman (Hands On A Hard Body, Steel Pier) who is currently touring as The Cowboy with the Village People, the stunning transgender actress Jamie Clayton from the EMMY winning online series, Dirty Work, Marc Sinoway, best known for his work in the online series, Hunting Season and Jai Rodriguez (Malibu Country, Queer Eye For The Straight Guy).

The show's high quality look and feel comes from the deft eye of cinematographer Nathaniel Kramer (www.nathanielkramer.com).

"When the hard work and long hours get recognized it definitely motivates you to keep doing what you're doing. " says La Cause.

La Cause created the series back in 2010 after a strong desire to gain more creative control and a more proactive seat in his acting career. Previous seasons also did not disappoint and the show was nominated for seven Indie Series Awards in 2013 - BEST ACTOR (La Cause), BEST ACTRESS (Jessica Press), BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS (Daphne Rubin-Vega), BEST ENSEMBLE (Drama), BEST WRITING, BEST SOUNDTRACK, BEST SERIES (Drama). The series walked away with a second consecutive BEST ACTOR award for La Cause (ISA4 in 2012) and BEST ENSEMBLE (Drama). The series was also selected as a 2013 Webby Award Honoree in the drama category. Watch the complete series here, www.hustlingthewebseries.com.
