Performances run through Oct. 16 at TBG Theater. Tim Drucker (Spidermusical) will direct. The Brain That Wouldn't Die! In 3-D!!! is a comical twist on the cult classic sci-fi film. It is an official selection of the New York Musical Theatre Festival's 2011 Next Link Project.

It's 1961 and Dr. Dick Cuttingham (Buntrock) will go to any lengths to further science --- even
Murder! When his fiancée, Hedy (Voytko), is accidentally decapitated, Dick keeps her head alive in a baking pan. Add a Monster in the Closet, a one-armed lab assistant, and a model with "a body to die for," and you have the perfect formula for a 3-D extravaganza!

Joining Buntrock and Voytko are Liz Baltes (LCT's A Minister's Wife), Taryn Darr (Catch Me If You Can), Jamie Jackson (The 39 Steps), and Brian Charles Rooney (Roundabout's Threepenny Opera).

The production will also feature musical direction by Annbritt duChateau, set design by Clifton Chadick, lighting design by Brian Tovar and costume design by David WithrowC. Renee Alexander is the Production Stage Manager and Brierpatch Productions are the General Managers. The Brain That Wouldn't Die!
