As BroadwayWorld reported earlier today, Tony nominee JESSICA HECHT (A View From the Bridge, "Breaking Bad," The Last Night of Ballyhoo) and ADAM KANTOR (The Last Five Years, Next to Normal, Rent) will join the cast of Fiddler on the Roof. Hecht will play the role of Golde and Kantor will play the role of Motel. Further casting will be announced soon.They join previously announced five-time Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk & Outer Critics Circle Award winner Danny Burstein (Cabaret, Golden Boy, Follies, South Pacific) who will step into the iconic role of Tevye.

Three roles have been cast, with many more to be announced in the coming months. While we wait, meet the cast members that we know so far below!

DANNY BURSTEIN (Tevye) is currently playing Herr Schultz in Cabaret on Broadway for which he was nominated for a Tony Award, Drama Desk Award and Outer Critics Circle Award. His 15 Broadway credits include: The Snow Geese; Golden Boy (2013 Tony and Outer Critics Circle nominations); Follies (2012 Tony, Astaire & Grammy Award nominations; Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards); Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown; South Pacific (Tony and Drama Desk nominations, Outer Critics Circle Award); The Drowsy Chaperone (Tony and Ovation Award nominations); Saint Joan; The Seagull;Three Men on a Horse; A Little Hotel On the Side; The Flowering Peach; A Class Act; Titanic andCompany.


JESSICA HECHT (Golde) last starred on Broadway in the Tony nominated play, The Assembled Parties. She was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in the recent revival of Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge opposite Liev Schreiber and Scarlett Johansson. Her other Broadway appearances include the revivals of Harvey opposite Jim Parsons, Brighton Beach Memoirs opposite Laurie Metcalf,Julius Caesar opposite Denzel Washington, After the Fall opposite Peter Krause and Carla Gugino, and her Broadway debut in the Tony Award winning play, The Last Night of Ballyhoo.

ADAM KANTOR (Motel) is best-known to Broadway audiences as playing Mark in the final cast of RENT which was preserved on DVD by Sony Pictures' RENT Filmed Live on Broadway. He reunited with RENT director Michael Greif in NEXT TO NORMAL on Broadway, in which he played Henry. In 2013 Adam played Jamie in the acclaimed NYC revival of THE LAST FIVE YEARS at Second Stage, directed by its composer Jason Robert Brown. Also off-Broadway, he played Princeton/Rod in AVENUE Q.
