Adam Pascal tackles a classic rock staple!
Popular Broadway leading man and original RENT star Adam Pascal exclusively premieres a brand new recording of rock n roll classic "Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin, only on BroadwayWorld.
Pascal shares of the track, "'Kashmir' is one of the greatest rock songs ever by one of the greatest rock bands ever. I have never heard a cover version of it before where the singer wasn't trying to copy Robert Plant. Because I can't touch Mr. Plant and don't have the same vocal quality, Larry and I thought we'd give it a go and see what came out."
"Kashmir" is available as part of Adam Pascal and Larry Edoff's brand new EP THE NEW STANDARDS which is available on iTunes here.
Opening up about the release of several new recently recorded tracks featuring reworkings of many musical theatre classics and some rock songs, as well, Pascal relates, "These are all my versions of things - I'm putting my own spin on some classic songs from musicals and also some rock stuff, too. I'm doing stuff from RENT, stuff from WEST SIDE STORY, stuff by Sondheim - we're putting this all out and it's going to be sort of a constantly growing project where I am just going to keep adding songs to this growing compilation of material available online."
Don't miss the SOUND OFF world premiere of Adam Pascal's "Not A Day Goes By" from MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG available here, "One Song Glory" from RENT available here and "Maria" from WEST SIDE STORY available here.
