A world premiere recording by Adam Pascal!

Popular Broadway leading man and original RENT star Adam Pascal exclusively premieres a brand new recording of classic WEST SIDE STORY standout "Maria" from Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim and Arthur Laurents's musical masterpiece, only on BroadwayWorld.

Pascal shares of the track, "'Maria' is the first theater song i was inspired to rearrange. The bass line came to me instantly and i knew it was to become one of my most favorite songs to perform live."

"Maria" is available as part of Adam Pascal and Larry Edoff's brand new EP THE NEW STANDARDS which is available on iTunes here.

Opening up about the release of several new recently recorded tracks featuring reworkings of many musical theatre classics and some rock songs, as well, which will all be premiering in the next few weeks, Pascal relates, "These are all my versions of things - I'm putting my own spin on some classic songs from musicals and also some rock stuff, too. I'm doing stuff from RENT, stuff from WEST SIDE STORY, stuff by Sondheim - we're putting this all out and it's going to be sort of a constantly growing project where I am just going to keep adding songs to this growing compilation of material available online."

Stay tuned to BroadwayWorld for even more world premiere recordings and exclusive quotes from fan favorite Adam Pascal coming in the next few weeks!
