On October 5, multi-award winning composer and lyricist Ryan Scott Oliver brings sexy schoolteachers, provocative rent-boys, obsessive homicidal teenagers, and fairy dust to rock out at NYMF.  Shows at 7:00pm and 9:30pm.

Directed by Travis Greisler, this concert features a ridiculous B’way cast singing their faces off to Oliver’s eclectic work, with a band led by Brett Ryback. Oliver is the recipient of the 2008 Richard Rodgers Award and the 2009 Jonathan Larson Grant, a 2009 MAC nominee and the composer of Mrs. Sharp (recently featured at Playwrights Horizons, starring Jane Krakowski, dir. by Michael Greif) and Darling. Rated RSO sold out when it played Joe’s Pub in May so don’t miss it this time around!

With a phenomenal cast including Nick Blaemire, Katie Thompson, Cait Doyle, Morgan Karr, Lindsay Mendez, Alex Brightman, Natalie Weiss, Alex Wyse, Preston Sadleir, Ali Stroker, Grace Wall, Brett Ryback, Jennifer Derosa, Tori Huston-Elem, Larry Hamilton, JamaAl Wilson, Eric Michael Krop, Geoff Kidwell, Mat Burrow, Jeffrey Cuttler, and Katie Gassert. Kristina Vnook stage manages with Hilary Leavitt.

He is a 2007 Dramatists Guild Fellow and the recipient of numerous awards including the first-ever ASCAP Foundation Harold Adamson Award for Excellence in Lyric Writing.  He is currently at work developing a commission by Broadway Across America as well as We the People for TheatreWorksUSA, directed by Alex Timbers, which will premiere Off-Broadway in 2010.
