After hosting a successful dinner in promotion of the region of Tuscany, the well know Italian Restaurant "Piccolo Fiore Ristorante" continues its series of regional tasting events with "An evening in Puglia".

Puglia, often called "The Heel of Italy" has been recently featured by the best well known magazines and newspapers worldwide, as "The New Hidden Wonder of Italy". The region is not only famous in the world for its wonderful landscapes and architectural monuments, but it is also famous for being one of the most advanced in the field of food production and organic farming.

To celebrate this region, Piccolo Fiore Ristorante has partnered with the Puglia Center of America, a premiere organization that promotes Puglia in all its aspects, especially in the creation and exchanges of cultural, tourist, and educational assets between Puglia and the United States of America.

The Guest of Honor this evening will be the Television Personality Ornella Fado (whose father was born in the City of Lecce, considered the Florence of the South), well known to the New Yorkers for being the creator, author, and TV hostess of Brindiamo!, the weekly half hour television program on NYCTV channel 25, and the only show about Italian Restaurant in NYC.

The event will feature also a performance by the Acclaimed Italian Tenor Luciano Lamonarca, (Piccolo Fiore's Brand Ambassador), which will participate in his double capacity as a Operatic Tenor and President of the Puglia Center of America, and a performance by the rising stand-up comedian star Regina DeCicco.

A five course, Puglia-inspired tasting meal will be prepared for the occasion by chef Gianfranco, which will include signature dishes and recipes of Puglia, like Fiore di Zucca con tonno "al modo di Taranto", Capunti pugliesi alla Crudaiola, Orecchiette con le Cime di Rapa and Agnello al Forno con Patate.

And there is even more exciting news! Piccolo Fiore Ristorante will also be embarking on a generous charitable endeavor with this event. The restaurant will donate twenty dollars for each ticket sold to this special event to the National Organization of Italian American Women, the premier organization for women of Italian heritage that is committed to preserving Italian heritage, language and culture by promoting and supporting the advancement of women of Italian ancestry, and whose mission will be introduced during the dinner by the Foundation's President, Mrs. Maria Tamburri.

The 5 course tasting dinner is $100 per person and is coupled with a wine pairing for each course (tax and gratuity included). For guests choosing not to participate in the wine tasting, the dinner only option will cost $80 per person (tax and gratuity included). There will be also 10 premiere seats for those selected guests that would like to seat at the same table with Ornella Fado at $200 per person (wine pairing, tax and gratuity included).
