Renowned author Stephen King stopped by the Broadhurst Theatre last night to see the currently-running Broadway production of Misery, an adaptation of his celebrated 1987 horror novel. King went backstage to surprise stars Bruce Willis and Laurie Metcalf, and you can check out the photo below!
The new smash-hit suspense thriller Misery, starring two-time Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe Award winner Bruce Willis and three-time Emmy Award winner Laurie Metcalf, will conclude its strictly limited 16-week engagement on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 W 44th Street).
Written by two-time Academy Award winner William Goldman, directed by Will Frears and also featuring Leon Addison Brown, Misery began performances at Broadway's Broadhurst Theatre on Thursday, October 22 and officially opened on Sunday, November 15. MISERY has scenic design by David Korins (Hamilton), costume design by Academy Award and Tony Award winner Ann Roth (The Book of Mormon), lighting design by David Weiner (The Normal Heart), sound design by Tony Award winner Darron L. West (Peter and the Starcatcher), and original music by Michael Friedman (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson). Misery is produced by Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures (Mark Kaufman), Castle Rock Entertainment (Martin Shafer, Liz Glotzer) and Raymond Wu.
