54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, just presented "54 Sings James Taylor," a celebration of songs made famous by the iconic American singer-songwriter, last night, December 29. BroadwayWorld was there for the special concert event and you can check out photo coverage below!
"54 Sings James Taylor " featured some of Broadway's best singers, with 16-time Grammy Award winner Sting (The Last Ship), Sally Ann Triplett(The Last Ship), Nicholas Rodriguez (Tarzan), Charlie Pollock(Violet), Ryan Andes (Big Fish), Michael Winther (33 Variations), Karl Kenzler (You Can't Take It With You), andZak Resnick (Piece of My Heart), T. Oliver Reid("Peter Pan Live"), John Arthur Greene, and Zack Dobbins. Produced and directed by T. Oliver Reid,"54 Sings James Taylor" featured musical direction by Mark Hartman, and musician Sean Harkness with John Miller and Warren Odze.
54 Below celebrated the catalogue of singer/songwriter James Taylor's music from the past 40 years on the charts. The voice of American folk rock, Taylor achieved his breakthrough in 1970 with "Fire And Rain"and since then has performed many beloved songs including "Shower The People", "Steam Roller", "Only One" and chart topping covers of "You've Got A Friend,""How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You),""Up On The Roof,"and more.
