THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of this year's Tony for Best Musical, presented a free fan performance today at 2:00 PM. The entire theatre was offered to entrants of the BOOK OF MORMON lottery. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the photo op and brings you a look at the scene below!
The ticket lottery for THE BOOK OF MORMON has attracted 300 to 400 people per performance. The producers, cast and creative team for THE BOOK OF MORMON agreed to offer a free ninth performance for the fans who have been lining up to see the critically acclaimed musical.
"We've seen so many people lining up for the lottery night after night," said "South Park" creator, Trey Parker. "For any fans who have been turned away, whether once or several times, we wanted to offer this free performance to give everyone a chance to see the show and to say thank you for your support of our work."
