The Geisha Gig, a benefit for Japan was an evening of music with an all female line up featuring some of Broadway's hottest leading ladies. The evening, which took place at The Laurie Beechman Theater, www.westbankcafe.com/beechman_theatre.html, on Sunday, April 10th is donating all of the $30 ticket price to The Japanese Red Cross Society.
Patrons saw peformances from Sierra Boggess (Little Mermaid, Love Never Dies), Lauren Kennedy (Spamalot, Vanities), Judy McLane (Chess, Mamma Mia), Ann Harada (Avenue Q, 9 to 5), Allison Case (Mamma Mia, HAIR), Lindsay Mendez (Everyday Rapture, Grease), Jenni Barber (The New Electric Company, Cactus Flower), Lisa Brescia (Mamma Mia, Aida), Ann Sanders (Avenue Q, Beaty and the Beast), Carey Anderson (Avenue Q, Mamma Mia) and the incredible composing team Marcy & Zina (composers of Taylor, the latte boy and Alto's Lament).
