She's already taken on such iconic roles as Sandy, Cinderella, and Nellie, but Laura Osnes has another classic role in mind for the future. During a recording of the Theater People Podcast this weekend, the two-time Tony nominee revealed her dream role - 'Marian the Librarian' in THE MUSIC MAN.
The role was originated on Broadway by Barbara Cook, played in the original 1962 film by Shirley Jones and in the 2003 TV movie by Kristin Chenoweth. The most recent Broadway revival opened at the Neil Simon Theatre in 2000, starring Rebecca Luker and Craig Bierko.
