Variety reports that 'Les Miserables' star Samantha Barks has joined the cast of director Jim O'Hanlon's "A Hundred Streets". Ken Stott ("The Hobbit" series), Charlie Creed-Miles ("Wild Bill," "The Fifth Element"), Steve Mackintosh ("Luther," "Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels"), Tom Cullen ("Downton Abbey") and Emma Rigby ("Plastic," "Hollyoaks") will also join previously previously announced cast members Gemma Arterton and Idris Elba in the project.

According to the report, the film centers on "London residents both surviving the day-to-day grind of everyday life as well as those living the opulent lifestyles of the wealthy, showing how the contrasting lives of these people can lead to interconnecting existences as they face dramatic choices and change in their lives."

Barks will portray Lotte, "the ex-girlfriend of rich playboy Jahmal (Adam Bakri), who re-enters his life with her best friend (Rigby) at a moment that forces him into a life-changing decision that sends him on the run, chased by his ex-special forces security guard Gordon, played by Mackintosh."

Written by Leon Butler, the film will be produced by Butler, Elba, Pippa Cross, Carl F Pauwels, Farah Durrani and Ros Hubbard.

Barks starred in Cameron Mackintosh's West End revival of Oliver! and portrayed Eponine in the film version of Les Miserables.
