John Cardoza to Play Final MOULIN ROUGE! Performance This Spring

John Cardoza has announced his final performance as Christian in Moulin Rouge. After six months in the Broadway production and a stint in the musical's national tour, Cardoza's final show will be on April 13.

"For those who have been asking, I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to return to Moulin Rouge It has been an incredible honor," his Instagram caption read. "I’m so grateful for the time spent, lessons learned, confidence built, and most importantly, for the people this show has brought into my life. I look forward to celebrating my time here and welcoming a new actor into this very special role in the coming weeks!"

Cardoza joined the production in October, alongside Solea Pfeiffer as Satine and Pepe Muñoz as Santiago.

"It’s been a fast, furious, and beautiful couple of years and now the time has come to rest and to open myself up to the future," he continued. "Thank you all for your support and your kindness. You’ve made my time here unforgettable and I can’t wait to share what’s to come! Hope to see you at the Hirschfeld over these next few weeks!!"

About John Cardoza

John Cardoza created the role of Younger Noah in the musical adaptation of The Notebook, both on Broadway and in the show's world premiere at Chicago Shakespeare Theater. He returned to Moulin Rouge! The Musical having previously played the role of Christian in the National Tour. John made his Broadway debut in the original cast of Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill. He received his BFA in Musical Theatre from the Boston Conservatory of Music.
