Hamilton star Phillipa Soo, alongisde Broadway veteran Steven Pasquale, recently took a trip to Graham Windham. The trip brightened the days of numerous children and was actually inspired by Phillipa Soo's character in Hamilton, Eliza Schuyler Hamilton.
Graham Windham is an organization that strives to make a life-altering difference with children, youth and families affected by abuse, neglect and delinquency by providing each child we serve with a strong foundation for life: a safe, loving, permanent family and the opportunity and preparation to thrive in school and in the world.
The organization was actually founded in New York City in 1806 a group of dedicated forward-looking women, including Elizabeth Hamilton! Graham Windham has been meeting the needs of New York City's poorest, most vulnerable children for more than two centuries!
Hamilton creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda also showed his appreciation for Graham Windham when he tweeted:
I see Pippa doing great work with @GrahamWindham, the organization founded by Eliza Hamilton and NO YOU'RE CRYING. https://t.co/T2oA997qkr
