Cast member Laurie Gardner from the new Off-Broadway hit "Girls Night: The Musical"  will be this week's guest on WGHT Radio's "Curtain Call" Wednesday, August 19 at 9:30 a.m.  Morning host Teisha Bader interviews stars of the best of Broadway and Off-Broadway every Wednesday morning on WGHT Radio (1500AM), North Jersey's oldies station.  Recent guests on "Curtain Call" include Kristin Chenoweth, Christopher Sieber, Stephanie J. Block, and LaChanze.  The interviews can also be heard live at www.ghtradio.com.

Entertainment Event Productions presents the Off-Broadway premiere of the smash UK hit "Girls Night: The Musical," written by Louise Roche and directed by Jack Randle.  Performances began June 2nd at the Downstairs Cabaret Theatre at Sofia’s (227 West 46th Street, next to the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre).  Also featured in the cast are Yvette M. Clark, Renee Colvert, Justine Hall, and Carly Sakalove.  The limited engagement, originally announced through July 26th, has been extended through October 4th.

Hilarious and touching, "Girls Night: The Musical" follows five friends in their 30s and 40s during a wild and outrageous girls night out at a karaoke bar.  Friends since their teens, they have all had their fair share of heartache and tragedy, joy and success.  Among the characters are Carol the party girl, blunt Anita who tells it like it is, Liza with her marital (and eating) issues, boring Kate the designated driver, and Sharon, the not-so-angelic angel who just couldn’t resist tagging along.  Together, they reminisce about their younger days, celebrate their current lives and look to the future, all the while belting out an array of classic anthems such as “I Will Survive,” “Lady Marmalade,” “It’s Raining Men,” “Man I Feel Like a Woman,” and “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.”

Performances of "Girls Night: The Musical" are Tuesday at 7 PM, Wednesday through Friday evenings at 8PM, Saturday at 5 PM, and Sunday at 3 PM. Tickets for all performances are $55 and may be purchased online at www.girlsnightthemusical.com or by phone at 212-947-9300.
