Fashion Photo of the Day 9/23/13 - Michelle Dockery

There was so much awesome fashion from last night's 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, that it was very hard to pick just one person to feature. I loved almost all of the gowns except for a few odd choices I could have lived without (sorry Zosia Mamet). But let's get back to the pretty dresses! There was so much color, so many cutouts, so many daring nude/pastel choices that I decided it was impossible to chose to just Fashion Photo of the Day. So get ready, each day this week I will pay homage to one of my favorite dressed stars from TV's biggest night.

First up: Michelle Dockery. I am a HUGE Downton Abbey fan, like massive. Lady Mary always nails when it comes to fashion and this Prada dress was a very edgy choice for Dockery. We usually see her in darker tones and slimmer silhouettes. But I am loving the departure! Bring on the bright colors and full skirts.

What I love most about this look is Prada's mix of bright poppy red top with the deep maroon skirt. The slightly raised hemline in the front is so fresh and balances out the prim and proper silhouette. Not pictured is a large bow at the top of the halter top. This dress is so chic and feminine but with a sporty edge with the color blocking. I could not have loved anything more on Dockery!
