Fashion Photo of the Day 9/10/13 - Olivia Palermo

Oh my girl crush Olivia Palermo has done it again. She transformed an already gorgeous, but simple navy dress from the CH by Carolina Herrera line into a must wear preppy chic look. How did she do it? With some of the most obvious yet bold fashion choices. I look at Palermo's styling and I think, "Why didn't I think of that?!" Okay, let's break this down. First of all, she had an amazing base: the dress. By itself it is classic, chic and well stunning. But then Palermo took it to a whole new level by adding a crisp white Georgio Armani shirt underneath. Brilliant! This could have gone very collegiate so she accessorized with a skinny brown belt and oversized clutch from Reiss and patterned black and white shoes by Guiseppe Zanotti. Her ablility to mix textures, patterns and colors is unmatched. I would never have paired a navy dress with a brown belt, black bag and black and white shoes. But on Palermo it looks beyond fashion forward!
