Fashion Photo of the Day 2/5/14 - Keri Russell

I love Keri Russell - just wanted to make that perfectly clear. And we all know I am a fan of classic black and white ensembles. But some how this outfit went awry. I think this is a situation where less would have been so much more. Right now my eye doesn't know where to look first and that's never a good thing. At the end of the day, you want to shine through an amazing outfit, you don't want the outfit to wear you.

I have never been a fan of bras peaking out of shirts, especially black bras showing through a white shirt. I know a lot of people do it, but for me, I just hear my Mother's voice in my head telling me its tacky! Then I think Russell went a bit overboard with the makeup and styling. The cateye and red lips with the big earrings come off very theatrical instead of glamorous. If she had just done the red lips it would have been far more successful even with the earrings. But you know what? The Givenchy skirt is amazing! When you have a foundation like that its hard to mess it up too much, right? Love you Keri Russell, love you.
