Fashion Photo of the Day 11/8/13 - Selena Gomez

The other day I criticized Stacy Keibler for bearing too much in a Kaufman Franco dress. And I said filling in the side panels would make the world of difference. Enter Selena Gomez and this black Cushnie et Ochs dress. I love the dress and the sleekness of it. It is very sexy but still remains chic with the ladylike hemline and design elements like the double strap.

The styling, however, leaves something to be desired. Gomez is a beautiful girl for sure. I just wish she had matched her styling with the sophistication of the dress. I feel that her smokey eyes and dark lips paired with the messy side braid are way too much. The dress is a huge statement by itself. If she wanted to do the smokey eye/dark lip combination, I would have loved to see a sleek ponytail. Luckily, Gomez is young and still finding her style. And at the end of the day with a killer dress like this, she can do no wrong.
