Fashion Photo of the Day 10/15/13 - Amy Adams

I am at a loss with this look. I love Amy Adams, I really do. But I don't know what to make of this lavender Prabal Gurung dress. Let's start with her hair and makeup and work down from there. Okay, the hair - love! Its simple, clean and chic. And her makeup is fun and daring with the blue smokey eyes. From the shoulders up, this look is a huge wow for me. But then I get really confused.

The lavender looks so gorgeous with her hair and skin tone, but at the same time, it just screams spring to me. This is not a dress I would think of for an event in October. All that aside, its the way too deep plunging neckline stuck in the middle of a conservative Easter dress that really gets me. I don't blame Adams. I am shocked that Prabal Gurung (who I love) designed such an odd dress. Maybe in darker color I would feel differently but the lavender with the cream stripe feels very conservative. But those boobs? Definitely NOT conservative.
