Broadway's biggest night will be back in 2024! The Tony Awards, Broadway's most beloved tradition, returns in June, honoring theater professionals for distinguished achievement in the 2023/2024 Broadway season. What can you expect this time around? We've got the scoop!


When is the 2024 Tony Awards ceremony?

The 77th Annual Tony Awards will be presented for the first time at The David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City on Sunday, June 16, 2024. This will be the first time that the Tony Awards have been held at The David H. Koch Theater. The 2023 ceremony took place at the United Palace in Washington Heights.


How do I watch the 2024 Tony Awards?

The ceremony will air at 8-11pm, LIVE ET/5- 8pm, LIVE PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S. (live and on- demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the special airs).


What is The Tony Awards: Act One?

CBS and Pluto TV will once again partner to present a pre- show of live, exclusive content leading into the offical ceremony. The celebration commences when the first round of Tony Awards is presented to audiences on Pluto TV, the leading free streaming television service. Viewers can access the show on their smart TV, streaming device, mobile app or online by going to Pluto TV and clicking on the “Pluto TV Celebrity” channel (no payment, registration or sign-in required). 


When are 2024 Tony Awards nominees announced?

Nominations for the 2024 Tony Awards were announced on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 by Tony Award winners Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Renée Elise Goldsberry. Watch the announcement and check out a full list of nominees!


Who is eligible for 2024 Tony Awards?

The Tony Awards eligibility window for the 2023-2024 season is Friday, April 28, 2023 through Thursday, April 25, 2024 for all Broadway productions which meet all eligibility requirements. View all of the determinations here.


Who is hosting the 2024 Tony Awards?

Academy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Ariana DeBose returns to host for the third time. DeBose will also serve as producer and choreograph the opening number for this year’s show. 

“I couldn’t pass up the chance to host the Tonys one more time at Lincoln Center. I’m excited to collaborate with the team to create an incredible celebration of this season’s achievements on Broadway for our community and for everyone at home,” said DeBose.


Who will recieve a Tony Honor in 2024?

Jack O’Brien and George C. Wolfe will each receive the 2024 Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre.

Billy Porter will receive the 2024 Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award in recognition of his outstanding dedication and contributions as an activist and spokesperson for the LGBTQ+ communities, including his work with The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation and the Entertainment Community Fund, among other organizations.

Wendall K. Harrington, Colleen Jennings-Roggernsack, Judith O. Rubin, the Dramatists Guild Foundation, and the Friedman Health Center will receive 2024 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre.

Special Tony Awards will be presented to Alex Edelman, Abe Jacob and Nikiya Mathis.
