After a sold-out solo debut at 54 Below last fall, Broadway leading lady Elena Shaddow returns to kick off 2015 with an exciting evening dedicated to her favorite contemporary composers. Elena recently played Sister Sophia in the NBC live television event The Sound of Music, and played Francesca in The Bridges of Madison County. Her Broadway credits include Anne Dindon in La Cage Aux Folles, The Woman in White, Fiddler on the Roof, Nine, Sweet Smell of Success, and Les Miserables. She starred as Fanny in Fanny at City Center Encores, played Magnolia in Showboat at the Royal Albert Hall, and received a Helen Hayes Best Actress nomination for playing Clara in the first national tour of The Light in the Piazza. Possessing one of the most beautiful voices in theater today, Elena has had the good fortune to perform the works-on Broadway and regionally-of her favorite contemporary composers, to whom she pays tribute in this show Always Better: The New Golden Age of Musicals.

A ROCKIN' MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM FOR THE 12.14 FOUNDATION

Broadway stars Marla Mindelle (Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella) and Clarke Thorell (Hairspray) and Off-Broadway star Saum Eskandani (Disaster!) are joined by several dozen children and teen performers from Newtown, CT to celebrate the launch of their World Premiere CD of A ROCKIN' Midsummer Night's Dream. This critically acclaimed fresh new take on Shakespeare's classic comedy features a fantastic new rock score by Eric Svejcar with lyrics by William Shakespeare, Eric Svejcarand Michael Unger. A ROCKIN' Midsummer Night's Dream recently completed a critically acclaimed run in Newtown, CT as part of the 12.14 Foundation's summer season. This new musical adaptation was written specifically for the young performers within the Newtown community and is being preserved on a 2 disc set which will be released to coincide with this 54 Below concert. The 12.14 Foundation was created as a means of using the performing arts to help heal, inspire and promote personal development within the Newtown community in the aftermath of the tragedy of December 14th, 2012. FUTUREFEST is coming to New York City. Presented by the Festival of New American Musicals and Open Hydrant Theater Company, this popular Los Angeles showcase spotlights rising local young talent in a celebration of the next generation of musical theatre artists. At FutureFest, high-school and college students sing songs from new musicals written by leading and rising lyricists/composers. Songs by Stephen Schwartz, Scott Alan, Ryan Scott Oliver, Jeff Thomson, Jordan Mann, Ben Toth, Chad Beguelin, Michelle Elliott, Daniel Larsen, Michael Kooman, Christopher Dimond have been showcased at this event, hosted by special celebrity guests. After five sold-out concerts, Will & Anthony Nunziata are back at 54 Below for the sixth time with a new concert featuring fresh takes of songs from Broadway to Italy to the Great American Songbook. The singers, actors and recording artists have won acclaim for their strong musicianship, inventive arrangements, warmth, charisma and humor that they display during their concert and symphony performances throughout the country and around the world. New York's hottest young performers sing We Are The Tigers, an original pop/rock musical and darkly comic murder mystery about a dysfunctional group of high school cheerleaders. Written and composed by up-and-coming young writer Rebekah M. Allen, the concert will feature highlights from the musical's edgy and upbeat score along with several bonus selections from Allen's developing and upcoming projects. The evening will bring together ten Broadway and Off-Broadway performers to premiere a fresh slate of fully-orchestrated contemporary music and introduce New York theatergoers to the humor, suspense, and infectious fun of We Are The Tigers. Rebekah M. Allen is a musical theater writer based out of New York City. Her original projects include We Are the Tigers: A New Musical, Step Up to the Final Destination in 3D: The Musical, Remission: A Musical, Glitter City, My Gay Killer Husband: A Lifetime Original Musical (Boo Festival Award Winner), and a few other projects with "A/the Musical" in the title. Simply Scott Alan - An intimate concert with composer Scott Alan and today's brightest stars. Acclaimed songwriter Scott Alan will make his debut at 54 Below in an evening of songs featured from his five successful albums including Dreaming Wide Awake, Keys, What I Wanna Be When I Grow Up, LIVEand Anything Worth Holding On To, as well as songs from his musicals, Home & ifi. After sold out concerts around the world, Alan will be returning to the New York City stage after over a year and a half away. With Alan at the piano and some of today's brightest Broadway stars and recording artists, this will be an intimate night of storytelling and supreme vocalists. Lauren Elder is an actress, singer-songwriter and whistler living in New York City. She has been seen on HBO's Boardwalk Empire and in the Broadway and West End revivals of Hair. Lauren blends the sweet sounds of the ukulele with influences of folk, jazz and pop to create her unique, whimsical sound, which she then records in her closet, huddled between her vintage dresses.

Frankie J. Grande is currently starring in Rock of Ages on Broadway, after spending a season in the "Big Brother" house. He is a performer, producer, host, YouTube star and social media mogul. Frankie has a rich history in the theater as he has performed in Mamma Mia! on Broadway, produced Hamletstarring Jude Law, and produced and co-directed Brooke Shields' one woman show at Feinstein's. He was honored with the title of "Mr. Broadway" in 2007. In his return to 54 Below Frankie performs his favorite pop hits and Broadway show tunes, dishes about his time in the "Big Brother" house, and makes audiences laugh with his incredible impersonations.

54 Below is proud to present the return engagement of two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole following a sold out 2 week run of her new show Big Noise From Winnetka. Christine's "stirring new show", as described by the New York Times' Stephen Holden, returns for 8 performances, with musical director Bette Sussman (Whitney Houston, Cyndi Lauper, Bette Midler) leading Christine's 4 piece band and vocalist Tabitha Fair. The concert features both classic and re-imagined Broadway hits, pop and jazz classics and anecdotes about growing up. Winner of two Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Musical (42nd Street and Grey Gardens), Christine co-stars on the hit TBS series Sullivan & Son (now in it's 3rd season). Christine has starred in film (Wolf of Wall Street), television (Royal Pains) and has performed concerts in theaters and concert halls across the country, from The Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall to The Pasadena and Boston Pops. This past fall, Christine appeared in the PBS Television special "Michael Feinstein: Live from The Rainbow Room." Mitchell Jarvis makes his solo concert debut with a show about a man who believes he is Jacques Brel - not a reincarnation but the man himself. Told entirely in Brel songs with surprising contemporary arrangements and actual Brel quotes woven throughout, it's an examination of Love, Death and Hope. Backed by a four-piece band, Jarvis channels Brel for a new generation - living everywhere. Jarvis originated the role of Lonny in Rock of Ages, and is co-creator and star of the web series, "It Could Be Worse". He played Keith Stone, spokesperson for Keystone Light beer, and is a frequent guest with the Skivvies.

54 Below is proud to present film and TV star Sally Kellerman in A Little Jazz, a Little Blues, a Little Rock and Roll-an eclectic celebration of her 40-year cabaret career-from her early years at Reno Sweeney in Greenwich Village up to recent performances in Hollywood and San Francisco. Rex Reed, reviewing her previous NY appearance at Feinstein's, noted "She has a lusty, suggestive way with both lyrics and words that defies the passing of time. She hasn't changed a bit since her giddy role as 'Hot Lips' in Robert Altman's MASH made the world drool back in 1970. She is still, to put it bluntly, a goddamn knockout...she sings with so much self-assurance and such a passion for music that she can switch effortlessly in style and tempo from the raucous pop-rock of the Pointer Sisters to the navy-blue-jazz phrasing of Billie Holiday with the snap of a finger. Doing what she loves and loving what she's doing, Sally Kellerman is a blast of West Coast vitamin C." Since earning Oscar and Golden Globe nominations for MASH, Kellerman has starred in more than 50 films and countless TV shows and even hosted Saturday Night Live. She can currently be seen on the CBS-TV daytime drama The Young and the Restless and in a recurring role with comic Marc Maron on his popular Maron comedy series. Her distinctive, husky voice has been heard on hundreds of commercials and she recorded a duet with Ella Fitzgerald's son, Ray Brown Jr., for his album "Friends and Family". Michael Haynie LIVE at 54 Below. A night of all-original music written by F., with guest stars from stage, screen, and Washington Square Park, at Broadway's premier Supper Club. Don't expect to hear the story of F.'s life, or a teary wander down ex-girlfriend lane-just an evening of music and merriment. So "Holler" if you wanna have a Wicked good time, but Dogfight for your tickets before they get Carrie'd away. Be there or be "Peter Pan Live on NBC." The Danger Year is a new musical about the connections we make and fail to make in pursuit of contemporary success. In these dangerous years of evolving social connectivity, how far will people go to find an actual human connection? Acknowledging our endless reliance on our technology, The Danger Year charts one year of contemporary calamity, upheaval, and rebirth in the lives of Adam, Zoe, Michael, Jill and Maggie. Presenting the show in concert form, composer/lyricist Georgia Stitt will be joined by her fantastic band and guest singers Tituss Burgess, Ta'Rea Campbell, Caitlin Kinnunen,Jessica Vosk, as well as more to be announced, and a group of fabulous musical theater students from Pace Univeristy.
