Birdland Jazz Club has announced the Season lineup for Broadway at Birdland, featuring Chita Rivera, Jessie Mueller, Rosie O'Donnell, James Snyder, Andrew Lippa, Jim Caruso, Trevor McQueen and more!
The Broadway at Birdland series is a popular Monday night staple of New York theater goers and music lovers. Every week, performers from the Great White Way and beyond are showcased in headlining sets at 7PM followed by Jim Caruso's Cast Party at 9:30PM. The Broadway at Birdland series also includes unique events, such as Chita Rivera's week-long headliner in October.

"Four Women"
The Broadway at Birdland concert series is pleased to welcome Natalie Douglas back to her musical home on Monday, September 8 at 7pm. Her concert, Four Women, will celebrate the music of Dr. Nina Simone, Lena Horne, Abbey Lincoln and Billie Holiday.
Seven-time MAC Award, Backstage Bistro Award and Nightlife Award Winner Natalie returns to Birdland on Monday, September 8 at 7pm with the US premiere of the show that earned her a coveted five star review from The Times (UK), who called her "a true force of nature." Four Women celebrates the music of Dr. Nina Simone, Lena Horne, Abbey Lincoln and Billie Holiday. Natalie and her Musical Director Mark Hartman, of Broadway's Avenue Q and Sondheim on Sondheim, have created an exciting program of songs connected with these dynamic, iconic women - including "Can't Help Lovin' That Man," "Throw It Away," "God Bless The Child," and, of course, Dr. Simone's legendary composition, Four Women.September 15 (Monday) at 7PM

The Broadway at Birdland concert series is proud to announce that Broadway legend Chita Rivera will headline An Evening of Song, benefiting the Art Attack Foundation. The event will take place on Monday, September 15 at 7pm at Birdland.
This one-night-only show promises an array of standards, pop hits and original songs, from top artists on Yellow Sound Label. Founded by Dan Watt, the Art Attack Foundation's mission is to inspire community leaders, businesses, and individuals to participate and contribute in the education, enhancement and development of young performing artists. AAF is dedicated to providing opportunities, funding, and encouragement to assist young performers in realizing their full artistic potential.
Participating in this song-filled evening are: BD Wong (M. Butterfly), Telly Leung, (Godspell), Christopher Jackson (Holler If Ya Hear Me), Anika Larsen (Beautiful), Jim Caruso (Cast Party), songwriters Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich (Dear Edwina), and many more. Helping kick off the evening will be Rosie O'Donnell, co-founder of the Maravel Arts Center, which has received scholarship support from the Art Attack Foundation. This evening will have musical direction by Emmy Award-winner Michael Croiter.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series is proud to present a Very Special Jamie deRoy & friends on Monday, September 22 at 7pm. The one-night-only event will benefit the Actors Fund.
Jamie's special guests will include Joy Behar ("The View," The Food Chain), Stephanie J. Block (Wicked, The Mystery of Edwin Drood), Bryce Pinkham (Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder), Chad Kimball (Memphis), Hunter Ryan Herdlicka (A Little Night Music), and Haley Swindal (Jekyll and Hyde).

In "Fate, Reason and Other Friends"
The Broadway at Birdland concert series is proud to announce If/Then leading man James Snyder will be performing his one-man show, Fate, Reasons and Other Friends on the historic stage Monday, September 29 at 7pm.
In Fate, Reasons and Other Friends, James shares his victories, defeats and a few things in between. From his time on Broadway as the title role in the ill-fated Cry-Baby, and as a solo recording artist with Lionsgate Records...from Carousel to Bare, from Fanny to Elvis, he will take his audience through the soundtrack of his career.?
After a busy career on TV, James Snyder made his Broadway debut in Cry-Baby, appeared in Rock of Ages in Los Angeles and played Billy Bigelow in Carousel at Goodspeed Opera House. This past season, he returned to Broadway opposite Idina Menzel in If/Then.

The Broadway at Birdland series is proud to announce that Christine Pedi will celebrate the release of her first studio CD, "Good To Mama," with a concert at Birdland. The event will take place on Monday, October 6 at 7pm.
Musical theatre & Sirius radio personality Christine Pedi celebrates the release of her first studio cd with her friends at Birdland. Included in the show will be songs by the Gershwins, Frank Loesser, Bock & Harnick, Rodgers & Hart, Irving Berlin, Kander & Ebb and more. Chita Rivera Returns to Birdland For An Exclusive One Week Engagement
In the intimate setting of Birdland, CHITA'S BACK will feature Ms. Rivera performing some of her favorite songs, a special tribute to her dear friends John Kander and Fred Ebb, as well as recreating signature moments from her legendary career. She will be accompanied by her long-time musical director Michael Croiter, associate music director/pianist Michael Patrick Walker and Jim Donica on bass.
Universally regarded as an American national treasure, Chita Rivera is one of Broadway's greatest triple-threat talents. A recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom as well as the prestigious Kennedy Center Honor (the first Hispanic woman ever chosen to receive this award), she has won two Tony Awards as Best Leading Actress in a Musical and received seven additional Tony nominations. It was her electric performance as Anita in the Broadway premiere of West Side Story which brought her stardom. She is well known for her starring roles in the original Broadway productions of Bye Bye Birdie, Chicago, The Rink, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Dancer's Life, and the revivals of Nine and The Mystery of Edwin Drood, among many others.

On Monday, October 13 at 7pm, the Broadway at Birdland concert series will welcome back acclaimed vocalist JENNA ESPOSITO for a special Columbus Day salute to some of the most celebrated Italian-American singers in the history of American popular song! In this exciting, fun-packed show, Jenna will sing the songs of Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, Connie Francis, and Frank Sinatra, among others. Songs will range from "Steppin' Out With My Baby" to "All The Way," "That's Amore," and "Mambo Italiano." The show also features the world-renowned City Rhythm Orchestra, which calls Philadelphia its home. The program is inspired by Mark Rotella's book "Amore - The Story of Italian American Song," and author Rotella will be on hand to introduce the show.

The Broadway at Birdland series is proud to present singer Trevor McQueen, who will make his Birdland concert debut with a big band at the historic music room on Monday, October 27 at 7pm.
Trevor McQueen will bring a soulful vocal sensibility to favorites by Stevie Wonder, Rodgers & Hart, Stephen Sondheim, and original material, arranged for big band. Musical direction and arrangements will be by Angelo Di Loreto and Bryan Carter.
Trevor McQueen is a recent graduate of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. He made his Broadway debut as Little Jake in the revival of Annie Get Your Gun. Trevor's love of music began at a very young age, while listening to Benny Goodman records in his neighbor's living room. He had the privilege of experiencing Pittsburgh's tremendous music scene while studying at university, playing with some of the city's most talented emerging and established musicians. Trevor has been consistently featured at Jazz at Andys at the Fairmont Pittsburgh for the past two years, headlining with such greats as legendary drummer Roger Humphries.
