Jujamcyn Theaters President Jordan Roth took to Twitter tonight following the Broadway League's announcement that they would not be dimming Broadway's lights in honor of late comedienne and stage star Joan Rivers, who died last week at the age of 81.
Roth wrote: "In memory of the legendary Joan Rivers, we will dim the lights of our Jujamcyn Theaters marquees, Tuesday at 6:45pm."

We dim the lights of our marquees in memory of Joan Rivers.
We mount he loss of legendary Joan Rivers, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 81.
Pursuing her passion for the theatre, Joan Rivers began her career as an actress and soon brought her unique voice to stand-up comedy. She became a pioneer in the field and blazed a trail that allowed many of today's women in comedy to follow. But she didn't stop there... she was also a talk show host, recording artist, playwright, author, red-carpet interviewer and Captain of the Fashion Police.
Joan Rivers appeared on Broadway three times, making her debut in 1972 in FUN CITY and later in Neil Simon's BROADWAY BOUND. In 1994, she was nominated for a Tony and Drama Desk Award for her performance in SALLY MARR...AND HER ESCORTS, which she wrote.
When not on stage herself, she was often seen in the audience on opening nights, cheering for all and championing the Broadway she so loved.
Throughout her life, Joan Rivers always stood for the power of laughter. "Life is very tough," she said, "and if you can make a joke to make something easier and funny, do it."
BroadwayWorld announced earlier this evening that we would be dimming our own logo in honor of the star, as you can see on our homepage.
