And a Happy Birthday shout-out to John Patrick Shanley, who turns 66 today!

Playwright John Patrick Shanley's DOUBT won the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, as well as that year's Tony Award for Best Play and the Drama Desk for Outstanding New Play. It was adapted for the big screen in 2008, starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Meryl Streep and Amy Adams. His play OUTSIDE MULLINGAR debuted on Broadway in 2014. He directed PRODIGAL SON Off-Broadway last year and has also helmed Off-Broadway productions of his works STOREFRONT CHURCH, ROMANTIC POETRY, WHERE'S MY MONEY, CELLINI, MISSING/KISSING, FOUR DOGS AND A BONE, BEGGARS IN A HOUSE OF PLENTY and THE BIG FUNK. Shanley also won the 1988 Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for MOONSTRUCK.
