Breaking News: Sienna Miller Will Come to the CABARET; Set to Join Cast as 'Sally Bowles' This February

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) just announced that Sienna Miller ("American Sniper", After Miss Julie) will join the cast of Cabaret starring opposite Alan Cumming beginning February 17, 2015. Miller will take over for current star Emma Stone, whose final performance is February 15, and play "Sally Bowles" for the final six weeks of the limited engagement through March 29, 2015.

Sienna Miller made her Broadway debut in Roundabout Theatre Company's 2009 production of After Miss Julie. She can currently be seen on the silver screen in Clint Eastwood's American Sniper and Bennett Miller's Foxcatcher.

Joe Masteroff, John Kander and Fred Ebb's Tony-winning musical Cabaret is directed by Sam Mendes and co-directed/choreographed by Rob Marshall.

The cast also features 2014 Tony nominee Linda Emond as Fraulein Schneider, 2014 Tony nominee Danny Burstein as Herr Schultz, Bill Heck as Cliff, Aaron Krohn as Ernst and Hani Furstenberg as Fraulein Kost.

CABARET features a book by Joe Masteroff, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb. It is based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood.

The Cabaret Kit Kat Klub boys & girls are: Will Carlyon, Kaleigh Cronin, Caleb Damschroder, Benjamin Eakeley, Andrea Goss, Leeds Hill, Kristin Olness, Kelly Paredes, Jessica Pariseau, Dylan Paul, Evan Siegel, Stacey Sipowicz and Katrina Yaukey.

CABARET is playing a limited engagement through March 29, 2015 at the Kit Kat Klub at Studio 54 on Broadway (254 West 54th Street).

For this production of Cabaret, Mr. Mendes and Mr. Marshall converted Studio 54 into the gritty Kit Kat Klub with Cabaret-type seating as well as traditional theatre seating, to recreate the decadent environment of the notorious pre-war Berlin Nightclub.

The design team includes set and club design by Robert Brill, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Peggy Eisenhauer and Mike Baldassari and sound design by Brian Ronan. Patrick Vaccariello is the Musical Director.

CABARET features some of the best-known songs in musical theatre, including "Willkommen," "Maybe This Time" and "Cabaret." John Kander and Fred Ebb are two of the most successful and prolific collaborators in the American Theatre and are currently represented on Broadway with the award-winning revival of Chicago.

Roundabout's production of Cabaret opened on Broadway on March 19, 1998 starring Alan Cumming and Natasha Richardson and won four Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Musical. Alan Cumming received the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall received Tony nominations for direction and Rob Marshall received a Tony nomination for choreography. The production went on to play for six years and 2, 378 performances before finishing its run on January 4, 2004.

CABARET premiered on Broadway in 1966 and won eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, in addition to the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award, the Outer Critics' Circle Award, the Variety Poll of New York Critics, and London's Evening Standard Award. The original Broadway production played 1166 performances.

SIENNA MILLER ("Sally Bowles"). Sienna Miller is currently co-starring in Clint Eastwood's "American Sniper" opposite Bradley Cooper. The film tells the true story of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle's rise through the ranks to become the deadliest sniper in American history. Distributed by Warner Bros, the film is based on Kyle's 2012 bestselling memoir of the same name. Miller plays his wife Taya. She can also be seen in Bennett Miller's acclaimed true-life drama "Foxcatcher," with Steve Carell, Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo. Miller recently completed work on a John Wells drama, set for release in October 2015, in which she is reunited with Bradley Cooper. Her other upcoming projects include "Unfinished Business," with Vince Vaughn; a feature film biopic about infamous Boston gangster Whitey Bulger, starring with Johnny Depp; and "High Rise," directed by Ben Wheatley. Born in New York, Miller was educated in England and then studied drama at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York. She first gained the attention of critics and audiences when she played the love interest of Daniel Craig's character in Matthew Vaughn's "Layer Cake," earning an Empire Award nomination for Best Newcomer. She has since received a number of other accolades for her film work, including an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Female Lead for her role in the 2007 film "Interview," and a British Independent Film Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in 2008's "The Edge of Love," for which she also garnered a BAFTA Orange Rising Star Award nomination. Miller's film credits also include "Factory Girl," "Casanova," and "GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra," which was a huge international box office hit in 2009. Miller played the role of The Baroness, for which she was named Supporting Actress of the Year at NATO's CinemaCon. In 2013, Miller was nominated for both a BAFTA TV Award and a Golden Globe, in the Best Actress in a Mini-Series or TV movie category, for her role in the acclaimed HBO original movie "The Girl." The film explored the relationship between Tippi Hedren, played by Miller, and Alfred Hitchcock (Toby Jones), during the making of the classic "The Birds."

An accomplished stage actress, Miller made her West End debut in 2005, playing Celia in the Young Vic's production of William Shakespeare's "As You Like It," earning praise from critics and audiences for her performance alongside Helen McCrory and Dominic West. In 2009, she made her Broadway bow in Patrick Marber's adaptation of "Miss Julie" entitled "After Miss Julie," directed by Mark Brokaw and also starring Jonny Lee Miller. More recently, she starred in the 2011 West End revival of Terence Rattigan's "Flare Path," at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, directed by Trevor Nunn. Miller has a staunch devotion to humanitarian work. As an ambassador for Global Cool, she helped change legislation in India, tackling head-on the problems of climate change. She now serves as an ambassador for the children's charity Starlight and the world relief organization International Medical Corps.
