BroadwayWorld is excited to bring you "Songs from My Living Room"- a new series that goes into the home of one of today's most acclaimed contemporary songwriters, as he explains the stories behind his songs. The monthly series will feature special guests from all corners of the entertainment industry to help bring to life the music and lyrics of Scott Alan straight from his living room into yours.

This fourth episode, directed by Robbie Rozelle, features stage and screen star David Burtka singing Alan's "Goodnight" from his debut album 'Dreaming Wide Awake'.

Scott Alan is an Internationally acclaimed songwriter who has released six successful albums including Dreaming Wide Awake, Keys, What I Wanna Be When I Grow Up, LIVE at Birdland, Anything Worth Holding on To and Greatest Hits: Volume One. Alan has written, recorded and performed songs for a long list of Broadway Stars and Recording Artists including Lea Salonga, Sutton Foster, Samantha Barks, Jessie Mueller, Ramin Karimloo, Jane Monheit, Pentatonix, Marc Broussard, Shanice, Shoshana Bean, Megan Hilty, Diana DeGarmo, Jonathan Groff, Liz Callaway, Norm Lewis,Jeremy Jordan, Taylor Dayne, Randy Graff, and many more. Alan has sold out concerts around the world including London (selling out the indigO2 at the O2 in 2013 and a five night residency at The Hippodrome in 2014), Australia, Germany, Holland and various cities in South and North America including various sold out concerts in New York City, Los Angeles, San Fransisco, Boston and Salt Lake City. Alan's song "It's Good to See You Again" was featured on the season nine premiere of So You Think You Can Dance and was the number one downloaded song on iTunes & Amazon the evening of its debut. His Musical ifi opened to rave reviews in Tokyo, Japan in September 2014 and his musical Home: The Musical is slated to open in London's West End in September 2015.
