If you haven't visited American Whiskey yet, now is the time. It is a perfect destination for Midtown shoppers, MSG guests, Penn Station commuters and the Chelsea neighborhood. They have an outstanding food and beverage program in an attractive rustic setting. Sports enthusiasts will enjoy the spacious bar area with monitors for viewing all the top games. There is also comfortable restaurant seating, perfect for relaxing and enjoying some great food and drink. We visited on a Thursday night when the restaurant and bar were in full swing. The service is friendly, helpful and prompt.

The beverage program at American Whiskey is distinctive and provides a fine variety of craft beer, wine, spirits, and very original cocktails. The whiskey selection is always growing including new craft whiskeys, old favorites, and a devoted collection of rare and exotics. American Whiskey has over 375 different globally sourced options for their guests. We enjoyed a favorite house cocktail, "Strike Me Dead." It is an ideal mix of 3.0 Rittenhouse Rye, pink peppercorn, vanilla and blackstrap bitters. Beverages at American Whiskey pair wonderfully with their culinary choices.

The food menu presents Southern specialties and more. The Tater Tot Poutine with chicken gravy and cheddar cheese curd is a flavorful, satisfying choice. Indulge in their Jumbo Lump Crab Cake with smoked avocado, or a nice selection of sliders that include duck, venison, chicken and country fried sweetbread. Entrees include their tender Marinated Hanger Steak with peppercorn sauce or Beer Brined Half Chicken. We also suggest you stop by anytime for a snack or light bite like their Smoked Salmon, Crinkle Cut French Fries or Oysters on the Half Shell. Signature desserts like Chocolate Sponge Cake and Creme Brulee in a Jar are perfect for topping off a meal or enjoying with an aperitif.

Go solo, plan a date or gather some friends. American Whiskey will be one of your favorite spots in no time.

American Whiskey is located at 247 West 30th Street, only one block from MSG. They are open for lunch dinner and also host private events. Call them at 212.967.1070 or visit www.americanwhiskeynyc.com.
