Kimberly V Gedeon, the New York based celebrity stylist, has been described as "a one woman show." Whether she selects street chic, high fashion, or red carpet, Gedeon has a deep understanding of high fashion. Known to clients and admirers as multi-talented, she refers to herself as a "luxury stylist" who excels in a variety of contexts; styling for celebrities, television, commercials, and fashion editorials. Broadwayworld.com had a chance to interview her about her life, her work, and her inspirations.Gedeon's client list reads like a celebrity who's who. Yet, Kimberly V is still always modest. From Late Night Shows like Jay Leno, David Letterman, and Chelsea Lately to the editorial pages of Zink, Kimberly V offers the same impeccable styling across the board. She has styled men and women including stars like Mary J. Blige, Usher, Drake, Keri Hilson, Ne-yo, Jordan Sparks and Bridget Kelly. Kimberly V is one of the most sought-after stylists in Manhattan and Los Angeles, taking key runway pieces and using them to style individuals in an original and chic manner that translates to impeccable style.

In 2011, Kimberly V started ALIAS, a full-service fashion and wardrobe production consultancy based out of New York and Los Angeles. ALIAS offers a more comprehensive level of service to clients in the entertainment industry, involving Kimberly V's signature style. Kimberly V and her husband, Alaska Gedeon, star as the stand-out couple on Newlyweds, a new reality television program on the Bravo cable network which presents an intuitive look into the first year of marriage. As a couple, they work at Blakbook Management, a full-service content company. Founded by Alaska, Kimberly lends her expertise as the Creative Director.

She has been featured on the TODAY Show and in many online publications including Glamour.com, TV Guide.com, Huffingtonpost.com, Essence.com and Uptown Magazine. Gedeon said that she always knew that she wanted to be involved in fashion. "In my high school graduating class yearbook instead of being crowd "best dressed," they made an additional category naming me "most unique dressed." I've always had a fashion flare with an eclectic edge. While interning for a fashion brand, I attended fashion school holding a dual major in fashion design and fashion merchandising. I quickly realized there was more to fashion then being a designer or a buyer. I was exposed to the wonderful world of fashion stylist. And that's when it clicked - THAT'S WHAT I WANT TO BE."She was fortunate to have mentors in the industry. "I had an amazing mentor Cannon Brendon that I assisted after my internship and that's where my career started. But, there are few extraordinary women that I admired from afar that had major influence on me including Lysa Cooper and Grace Coddington"

The fashion business is one that evolves rapidly and Kimberly V Gedeon is well positioned to keep up with the trends. "A great challenge that I have is always being ahead of what's current. When you live it, you don't have to study or dig deep to find out what's next. It just naturally is what it is, and most of that time the game changers in the fashion industry are in the same current."

Kimberly V is someone who is not limited to working just with celebrity fashions. "I actually shy away from the tag "celebrity stylist" I like to call myself a Luxury Stylist. The word 'celebrity' gets tossed around quite often. I like to bring the luxury experience to clients, I not only work with celebrities but I work in fashion, editorial, commercial, films and costume design as well. I have a lot of dimension to my craft. While her list of clients is impressive, we wanted to find a little about some of the work she has recently enjoyed. "I've enjoyed Mary J Blige by far. Drake was a pleasant surprise as well. Oddly enough, the NBA Corporation was amazing client to work with. Giuseppe Zanotti is marvelous; LaQuan Smith and The Blonds are electric!"

Kimberly V balances both her work and new marriage very well. She said, "There are always challenges in a marriage but the beauty of it is that we make it a priority to work through it. We both travel a lot for work but we're never away to long from each other. If our trips are extended, then one of us will fly out to the other so we can be together."
