Author, Psychoanalyst, And Director Carol Islon Dies At 75

Carol Ilson, author, psychoanalyst, and director of "Line," passed away January 17 in New York at the age of 75. She is survived by her husband Bernie, two sons, and four grandchildren.

Ilson authored several books including "Harold Prince: A Director's Jouney" and "Harold Prince: From Pajama Game to Phantom of the Opera and Beyond," both about director and producer Harold Prince.

Ilson is also well-known for her direction of "Line" at the 13th Street Theatre, which helped the play become the longest running Off-Off Broadway play.

In addition to her authorial and theatrical credits, Ilson also She also taught dance and theater as an adjunct professor iat Queens College for a decade.
