Two Bohemians are returning to the Moulin Rouge tonight! Moulin Rouge! The Musical will welcome back original Broadway cast member and Tony Award-winner Aaron Tveit, alongside platinum-selling singer, songwriter, and actress Joanna "JoJo" Levesque as Christian and Satine, respectively, for a 12-week limited engagement beginning tonight, Tuesday, July 23 through Sunday, October 13 at Broadway’s Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

By chance they shared the stage for one electric performance only during JoJo’s original run, now Tveit’s and Levesque’s return coincides with the production’s fifth anniversary. Having opened on Broadway on July 25, 2019, Moulin Rouge! The Musical in now playing in New York, across North America on a national tour, in London’s West End, Germany, Japan and this fall, The Netherlands.
Aaron Tveit created the role of Christian, which earned him his first Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical, in Moulin Rouge! The Musical first in Boston for the world premiere in the summer of 2018 and then on Broadway in the summer of 2019. Most recently, he appeared opposite Sutton Foster in the title role in Sweeney Todd. His other Broadway credits include Catch Me If You Can, Next to Normal, Wicked and Hairspray. Other stage credits include Assassins (West End) and Rent (Hollywood Bowl). He’s appeared on television in the Grammy-nominated “Schmigadoon!,” “American Horror Stories,” “Graceland,” “Grease Live!,” “Gossip Girl,” “Brain Dead” and others. Film credits include the Academy Award-winning Les Misérables, Out of Blue, Created Equal, Undrafted, Better Off Single, Howl and others. He’s appeared in concerts in NYC at Webster Hall, Irving Plaza and LCT American Songbook, and on tours at Barrington Stage Company, The Paramount in NY, House of Blues, Boston, San Diego, The Belasco in L.A., Barns at Wolf Trap in D.C., The Vets. His recordings include The Radio in My Head.
Joanna “JoJo” Levesque is a chart-topping, platinum selling singer, songwriter, actress, and first-time author. She made her Broadway debut as Satine in Moulin Rouge! The Musical last year. At just 13 years old, JoJo burst onto the scene with her self-titled debut album, whose breakout smash “Leave (Get Out)” made her the youngest-ever solo artist to have a debut #1 single in the U.S. She followed that with a second platinum album and additional accomplishments, including the #1 song “Too Little Too Late.” Since then, she’s toured the world, released critically acclaimed studio albums, EPs, and mixtapes, and started her own label. In 2020, JoJo's song with PJ Morton, "Say So", won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Song. JoJo has appeared in movies such as Aquamarine and RV. She got her start in community theatre in Massachusetts at 6 years old and saw her Broadway dreams realized in 2023. Joanna’s first book, Over The Influence: A Memoir, will be released on September 17th, 2024.
