Broadway's new smash-hit suspense thrillerMisery, starring two-time Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe Award winner Bruce Willisand three-time Emmy Award winner Laurie Metcalf, has announced a student rush policy for the strictly limited engagement at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 W 44th Street). A limited number of $35 tickets (inclusive of a $2 facility fee) will be available to students 25 years old and younger when the box office opens for that day's performance(s). Photo identification is required. Patrons are limited to two tickets person. Tickets are subject to availability.
Written by two-time Academy Award winner William Goldman, directed by Will Frears and also featuring Leon Addison Brown, Misery began performances at Broadway's Broadhurst Theatre on Thursday, October 22, officially opened on Sunday, November 15 and will play a strictly limited 16-week engagement through Sunday, February 14, 2016.
MISERY has scenic design by David Korins (Hamilton), costume design by Academy Award and Tony Award winner Ann Roth (The Book of Mormon), lighting design by David Weiner (The Normal Heart), sound design by Tony Award winner Darron L. West (Peter and the Starcatcher), and original music by Michael Friedman (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson). Misery is produced by Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures (Mark Kaufman), Castle Rock Entertainment (Martin Shafer, Liz Glotzer) and Raymond Wu.

The Misery playing schedule is as follows: Tuesday through Thursday at 7pm, Friday and Saturday at 8pm, with matinees Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 3pm. Please note: There will be no evening performances Wednesday, December 23, Thursday, December 24, 2015 and Thursday, December 31, 2015. There will be additional performances Monday, December 21 and Monday, December 28 at 8pm and Sunday, December 27 at 2pm.
William Goldman's film adaptation of Misery, based on Stephen King's celebrated novel, was directed by Rob Reinerand released in 1990, starring James Caan and Kathy Bates, who won an Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for her performance as Annie Wilkes.
MISERY made its world premiere at Bucks County Playhouse in the fall of 2012.
