All new production photos have been released from Heathers the Musical, to celebrate the new cast who started their run at The Other Palace on 21st February. The show is now booking until 3 September 2023.

With the graduating cast leaving the halls of Westerberg High, it’s time to welcome in some new students to the cast of Heathers the Musical. Taking on the role of high school geek Veronica Sawyer will be Erin Caldwell and at her side as the dark and moody teen Jason ‘J.D’ Dean is Nathanael Landskroner. See photos of the new cast members here!

Last night, the 2018-2019 class of Dramatists Guild Foundation Fellows presented excerpts of full length works at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center.

Orlando Shakes in partnership with UCF's season-opener, Evita, featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics and book by Tim Rice, runs from September 4 - October 6, 2019. Last year I posted an article on my website about the top 10 shows I was the most excited for that would be in the Twin Cities across the 2018-2019 season. Some of them premiered in 2018 like Mamma Mia at the Ordway and, of course, the traveling production of Hamilton. However, as I look back at the least, a large majority of them are in 2019 and I'm still just as excited to see these productions as I was last year when I posted about them. In a twisted mash-up of WAITING FOR GUFFMAN and GLEE, FLIES! THE MUSICAL! follows the drama kids from Lovely Valley Performing Arts Magnet High School. The students are left behind in an abandoned forest preserve during a 'research' retreat for an unauthorized teacher-written musical production of LORD OF THE FLIES. Gradually, things turn savage in a couple of unsupervised hours as the plot points of the novel begin to come true one by one, in song, until eventually the kids are 'rescued' by an astonished park ranger (who happens to love musicals) but it's much too late for them to go back to who they were before.

On March 30th, 2018, Eagle Theatre opens Ron Hutchinson'sMoonlight & Magnolias, an uproariously irreverent behind-the-scenes glimpse of Gone With The Wind.

On Monday, March 19, 2018, the Foundation for New American Musicals returned to Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal to present the 3rd edition of 3RD MONDAYS, an exciting new cabaret series where Broadway legends and emerging artists perform musical theatre songs of yesterday, today, and tomorrow! It's Pompeii meets Heathers as New American Folk Theatre presents the Midwest premiere of Johnny Drago's 1980s-infused comedy HOT PINK, OR READY TO BLOW, directed by Derek Van Barham, playing March 10 - April 7, 2018 at The Den Theatre (2A), 1333 N. It's the Stephen for the season! The Ringwald Theatre's Sondheim Spring kicks off with a five-week run of Merrily We Roll Along on Friday, February 16th. Merrily-aka the show they were doing in Greta Gerwig's Lady Bird-marked the reunion of legendary composer/lyricist Stephen Sondheim with librettist George Furth, who had previously teamed for the Broadway landmark Company-which will keep Sondheim Spring rolling in May.
