Steppenwolf Theatre Company, the nation’s premier ensemble theater company, is opening its stunning new in-the-round Ensemble Theater in Honor of Helen Zell with ensemble member Yasen Peyankov’s extraordinarily funny and lyrical adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s Seagull, April 28–June 12, 2022.

This Spotlight focuses on Simon Levy who began his directing career in San Francisco, then moved to Los Angeles in 1990 where he has been the Producing Director for the Fountain Theatre since 1993. His directing and producing credits are numerous, with over 100 productions in Los Angeles and San Francisco that have won more than 200 awards. His journey has been blessed with having wonderful mentors along the way, which has enabled the talented director to earn his living doing theatre and earned him great respect from the entire L.A. Theatre community.

Salt Lake Acting Company's 49th season continues with the Utah premiere of Lucas Hnath's A DOLL'S HOUSE, PART 2. The 8-time Tony Award-nominated play is being produced in SLAC's Upstairs Theatre February 5 through March 8, 2020.

Returning to Broadway for the first time since its now-legendary original production opened in 1993, this spectacular new staging of Part One of Angels in America, Millennium Approaches, and of Part Two, Perestroika, directed by Marianne Elliott, had its world premiere earlier this year in a sold-out run at the National Theatre, where it became the fastest selling show in the organization's history. The National Theatre and the American Associates of the National Theatre hosted an exclusive fundraising gala to celebrate the arrival of the National Theatre's acclaimed production of Angels in America, A Gay Fantasia on National Themes on Broadway on Sunday, March 11.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) announces the cast of Georges Feydeau's 'An Absolute Turkey', adapted from Le Dindon by Nicki Frei and Peter Hall. Paul Mullins will direct. This production is recommended for audiences sixteen and up.

Rehearsals began this week at Steppenwolf Theatre Company for the 2012/13 season opener, Good People, Pulitzer Prize-winner David Lindsay-Abaire's surprising, humorous and deeply moving tale of a modern American story set in economically opposed South Boston and Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Ensemble member K. Todd Freeman directs Lindsay-Abaire's Steppenwolf debut, featuring ensemble members Alana Arenas, Mariann Mayberry and Molly Regan. Good People begins previews September 13, with an opening night slated for September 23, and runs through November 11, 2012, in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre. Yesterday, January 25, the New York Public Library celebrated Al Hirschfeld with an unveiling of the installation of Al Hirschfeld's barber chair and life-long drawing table in the Lobby of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center.
