Theatre Royal Bath Productions has released new production imagery for its hit comedy production of Yasmina Reza's God of Carnage which returns in a new UK tour following an acclaimed run as part of its Summer Season 2018. Directed by Lindsay Posner (A View from the Bridge, Carousel), the production stars Elizabeth McGovern (Downton Abbey, Ragtime) who reprises her dazzling performance as Veronica alongside Nigel Lindsay (Victoria, Four Lions) as bluff husband Michael with new cast members Samantha Spiro (Grandma's House, Lady Windermere's Fan) as Annette and Simon Paisley Day (Ralegh: The Treason Trial, The Crown) as her husband, Alan.

The summer concludes with South Pacific, an ever-topical story of love in the time of war, and one of the most heralded musicals of all time. Since its premiere in 1949, it has won countless awards, including the 1950 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and Tony Awards both for its original run and its 2008 revival. Featuring some of the greatest songs in musical theater history, including 'Some Enchanted Evening,' 'I'm in Love with a Wonderful Guy,' and 'A Cockeyed Optimist,' this remarkable production will stay with you for years to come.

The Umbrellas of Cherbourg will begin previews on 5 March, with press night on 22 March and is booking until 1 October 2011. Arena Stage begins a new life in its renovated home at the Mead Center for American Theater in Southwest D.C., opening its inaugural season with a classic American musical that similarly embraces life on a new frontier. Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! is the first production at the Mead Center and features an all-star cast under the direction of Artistic Director Molly Smith. The Color Purple will return to Houston and play a limited one week engagement at the Hobby Center for Performing Arts, August 18 - 23, 2009. The return engagement was booked in response to the challenges brought on by Hurricane Ike, which caused the cancellation of a full week of sold out performances.

Florida Studio Theatre brings back the popular summer hit Always...Patsy Cline for a special two week limited engagement. Patsy Cline was the original cross-over sensation with her acclaimed hit 'Walkin' After Midnight' in 1957 (#2 on the Country Charts and #12 on the Pop Charts) and followed in the early 60s with 'I Fall to Pieces,' 'Crazy' and 'She's Got You.' These songs and 24 others will pay tribute to the one-of-a-kind Patsy Cline. Cline's rise to legendary stardom is told through personal letters shared with her best friend and biggest fan, Louise. From her performance at the Grand Ole Opry to her tragic death in 1963, Patsy Cline will 'always' have a place in country music and with music enthusiasts across multiple genres.

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) continues its 2008/2009 Season with the New York premiere of THE SAVANNAH DISPUTATION, a new play by Evan Smith (Psych and The Uneasy Chair at Playwrights Horizons, Remedial English for the Young Playwrights Festival at Playwrights Horizons, Servicemen at The New Group). This will be Mr. Smith's fourth collaboration with the theater company. Directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie (Chicago, New Jerusalem), in his Playwrights Horizons debut, the production will began previews on Friday, February 6, 2009 with an Opening Night set for Tuesday, March 3 at 7PM. The limited engagement will run through Sunday, March 15 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).

Florida Studio Theatre opens Jose Rivera's Boleros for the Disenchanted in its continuation of the Winter Mainstage Season. 'Boleros for the Disenchanted is one of the most moving and life affirming stories of love and commitment I have seen on the stage in the past quarter century,' stated FST Artistic Director and show Director Richard Hopkins. From 1953 Puerto Rico to contemporary America a young couple overcomes adversity and discovers a world of hope and love. Immigrating to the United States, Flora and Eusebio experience new adventures, obstacles and life lessons. In a mystical journey through the ages, they realize they have overcome the biggest obstacle of all...finding true love. Boleros for the Disenchanted made its World Premiere at the Yale Repertory Theatre in April, 2008. Other productions include the Huntington Theatre in October of 2008. Jos? Rivera's plays have been translated into six languages. His plays include Marisol (Obie Award winner for Best Play), References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot (Obie Award), Cloud Tectonics, Each Day Dies with Sleep, The Promise, The House of Ramon Iglesia, Giants Have Us In Their Books, Sueno, The Street of the Sun, Sonnets for an Old Century, Brainpeople, and Adoration of the Old Woman. He studied with Gabriel Garc?a Marquez at the Sundance Institute and was writer-in-residence at the Royal Court Theatre, London, on a Fulbright Arts Fellowship in Playwriting. Mr. Rivera's television work includes the critically lauded NBC series Eerie, Indiana, which he co-created and produced. He has also written teleplays, among them an adaptation of his own The House of Ramon Iglesia for PBS, as well as feature screenplays, including The Motorcycle Diaries (Academy Award Nominee). The native Puerto Rican also serves on the boards of The Sundance Institute and the Independent Feature Project. The Boleros for the Disenchanted cast will include New York Actor Damian Buzzerio (Don Fermin/Older Eusebio). Buzzerio regional credits include Vinnie in The Odd Couple at the Carousel Dinner Theatre, Claudius in Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead and Gremio/Vincentio in Taming of the Shrew at the Shakespeare Theater of New Jersey. The Broadway company of CHICAGO has launched 'Talkback Tuesdays,' a new monthly series offering a post-show discussion and audience Q&A session with members of the Broadway company of the record-breaking hit musical. Designed to provide theatergoers with an exclusive, behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of CHICAGO, the 'Talkback Tuesdays' series began Tuesday, September 23, 2008, with a post-show conversation with Tony Award-winning director Walter Bobbie.
