'End of the Rainbow' begins previews March 12 at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre at the Los Angeles Music Center. Opening night is March 20 and performances run through April 21, 2013. 'End of the Rainbow', written by Peter Quilter and directed by Terry Johnson, features Tracie Bennett reprising her Tony Award-nominated performance as Judy Garland, Michael Cumpsty (also Tony Award-nominated for his role), Erik Heger and Miles Anderson. STAGE TUBE: On This Day 6/10- SHE LOVES ME

Today in 1993, the first Broadway revival of She Loves Me opened at Criterion Center Stage Right, where it ran for 354 performances. She Loves Me is a 1963 musical with a book by Joe Masteroff, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and music by Jerry Bock. The plot revolves around Budapest shop employees Georg Nowack and Amalia Balash who, despite being consistently at odds with each other at work, are unaware that each is the other's secret pen pal met through lonely-hearts ads. The Revival cast featured Boyd Gaines as Georg, Judy Kuhn as Amalia, Sally Mayes as Ilona, Howard McGillin as Kodaly, Lee Wilkof as Ladislav, Brad Kane as Arpad, and Louis Zorich as Mr. Maraczek. A revival cast recording was released by Varèse Sarabande. (more...)

John Michael Coppola, from Chicago's long running production of JERSEY BOYS, will bring his solo concert, A JERSEY VOICE: Sinatra to Springsteen...And Everyone In Between to three states. Featuring song selections from the 1940s through present day, the set list includes songs made popular by such artists as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen and of course, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Coppola understudied and performed the role of Frankie Valli in the Chicago production of the Broadway hit. (more...)
