A Doll's House, Part 2 on Stage Videos - Broadway

The Met celebrates the new year with a new production of Bizet's Carmen by acclaimed English director Carrie Cracknell, opening on Sunday, December 31, at 6:30PM. In her highly anticipated Met debut, Cracknell reinvigorates the classic story of deadly passion with a staging that moves the action to modern day and explores themes that could not be more relevant today: gendered violence, abusive labor structures, and the desire to break through societal boundaries.

In this contemporary take on an imagined sequel, Nora (Kellie Overbey of Broadway's The Coast of Utopia) returns to the door she famously slammed 15 years earlier with unfinished business on her mind. Nominated for eight 2017 Tony Awards, The New York Times called the new play "smart, funny and utterly engrossing" and dubbed it "The Best Play of the Year". On Day 8, we celebrate Best Leading Actress in a Play nominee, Condola Rashad, who is being recognized for her work in the religious drama, Saint Joan.

MCC Theater (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) will soon present the third show of its 2017-18 season: the World Premiere of Relevance, written by J. Lee ('How to Get Away With Murder,' 'Looking') with direction by Tony Award nominee Liesl Tommy (Eclipsed).
