It's time to meet Broadway's best on The Muppet Show tonight! With the new special now streaming, we have rounded up some of the best of Broadway talent during the show's original run.

Omnivore Recordings has announced a new live record from The Staple Singers, Africa 80, which features performances from their first ever tour in Africa. The album will be released on CD and Digital on May 10.

The Ancram Opera House, in collaboration with Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company, presents STILL LIFE,  by internationally renowned playwright, director and producer Emily Mann, and directed by Mann's good friend and protegee, Jade King Carroll, who was recently appointed Producing Artistic Director of Chautauqua Theater Company.

The 14-track album features guest artists such as 2x-GRAMMY Award-winner Mike Mattison (Tedeschi Trucks Band, Derek Trucks Band), multiple-Maple Blues Award-winning guitarist Paul Deslauriers, Juno Award-nominee Alison Young and 3x-Blues Music Award nominee Jarekus Singleton.

The film will be presented from Saturday, August 20 to Thursday, August 25 in the King Auditorium at The Park Theatre in Jaffrey. The feature film has not been presented publicly since its debut on PBS Great Performances on November 9, 1981.

Gutted, an Irish black comedy by Sharon Byrne, opens in Canterbury on 3 October and will visit the Irish Cultural Centre, Hammersmith (Fri 11 Oct), The Maud, Walthamstow (Wed 16 Oct), The Dugdale Centre, Enfield (Fri 25 Oct) and Omnibus Theatre, Clapham (Tue 29 & Wed 30 Oct) as part of its 15-venue Autumn tour. Set in a 1980's Dublin fish-factory, Gutted explores the lives of three strong women, played by Eleanor Byrne, Niamh Finlay and Sarah Hosford, with dark humour and tenderness. Gutted is directed by Chris White.
