The stage production does make a lot of strides that strengthens the endurance and popularity of this love story. It repeats iconic moments from the popular 2004 film, but isn’t aping the original screenplay in any way. A new libretto offers a fresh take that borrows the basic structure of the novel and memorable film moments, whilst breathing in new voices and new scenes that add different layers to these familiar characters.

Based on the Oscar-winning movie, Finding Neverland tells the uplifting story behind one of the world’s most beloved characters: Peter Pan. Playwright J.M. Barrie struggles to find inspiration until he meets four young brothers and their beautiful, widowed mother. Spellbound by the boys’ enchanting make-believe adventures, he sets out to write a play that will astound London theatergoers.

From November 17 through 22, BAM presents the Masc film series. HBO Documentary Films has acquired U.S. TV rights to THE COLD BLUE from Paul G. Allen's Vulcan Productions. Directed by Erik Nelson (“Dreams with Sharp Teeth,” “A Gray State”), the film takes an inside look at the daily life of men of the Eighth Air Force, who flew mission after deadly mission in World War II. The film features newly restored 4K footage and outtakes, shot by director William Wyler (Oscar® winner for “The Best Years of Our Lives,” “Ben-Hur” and “Mrs. Miniver”) for his 1944 documentary “The Memphis Belle: A Story of a Flying Fortress.”

Cornelia Frame has been promoted to vice president, Casting and Talent Relations, Disney Channel. A 25 year veteran of the entertainment industry, Frame has worked at Disney Channel since 2005, most recently as executive director, Casting and Talent Relations. The announcement was made today by Judy Taylor, senior vice president, Casting and Talent Relations, Disney Channels, to whom she reports.

As previously announced, the Marquis Theatre and the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre would dim their lights in memory of five-time Tony Award nominated actor, singer and performer Jan Maxwell, who passed away on Sunday, February 11th at age 61. The lights dimmed on February 21, 2018, at exactly 7:45pm for one minute.
