Annual Historic Pendleton Spring Jubilee In Its 36th Year In 2013

The 36th Annual Historic Pendleton Spring Jubilee, a juried arts and crafts festival, will display the artwork of 90 artists with their one-of-a-kind pieces for sale. The festival will take place Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 7 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. This family-friendly event will feature live entertainment, delicious food, information from local non-profits, free shuttle-parking and public transportation provided by CATbus. Pendleton District Commission invites families to spend a spring weekend in beautiful and historic downtown Pendleton and start a yearly family tradition. (more...)


Redmoon Announces Chicago Tour of URBAN INTERVENTIONS

The large-scale spectacle and public art group Redmoon is proud to announce dates for the URBAN INTERVENTIONS tour of Chicagoland from June 18th to October 14th, 2012. Beginning in June, throughout the summer and across the city, Redmoon will deliver a series of original events in order to intervene into different urban scenarios and disrupt Chicagoans' daily routines. Redmoon is partnering with communities in the North, South, and West to share its art and theater at local festivals, parades, and other public gatherings. Each event will feature one of three highly engineered central objects working in concert with a team of artists and performers to support the unique stories that Redmoon has to tell, designed with the goal of creating spontaneous celebration and community within each urban locale. Set during the 1920s, this production features costumes and music of the era. The Festival Amphitheatre will allow audiences to enjoy watching the story of 'Beatrice and Benedick' unfold through the brilliant language and action of the play performed by professional actors from an open-air stage. Celebrating its 25th year, the 2013 KSBR Birthday Bash Jazz Festival, presented by Saddleback College radio station KSBR (88.5 FM), returns to the Village Green at Oso Viejo Park in Mission Viejo, on Sunday, May 26, 2013. Organizers are excited to announce the second annual Taste of the Bash, which was a wildly successful element introduced last year and will again feature more than 25 restaurants showing off their finest creations. The Taste is an added value so those purchasing tickets to the concert will be admitted to the Taste of the Bash for no additional charge. The Birthday Bash is the major fundraising event for KSBR.
