Irish Rep Previews THE YEATS PROJECT 4/8, Opens 4/15

Spring Shakespeare Season Continues With HAMLET

Theatre for a New Audience's Winter-Spring Shakespeare Season which begins with Othello (February 14 - March 7) continues with Hamlet which previews Sunday, March 15, at 7:00pm, opens Thursday, March 26, at 6:30pm and plays through April 19. Both productions play at The Duke on 42nd Street SM, a New 42nd Street? project, 229 West 42nd Street. Hamlet features Christian Camargo in the title role. The production is directed by David Esbjornson. Joining Mr. Camargo will be Alyssa Bresnahan as Gertrude, Alvin Epstein as Polonius, Graham Hamilton as Laertes, Jennifer Ikeda as Ophelia and Patrick Page as Claudius. (more...)

The Drilling Company will present 'Hamlet' directed by Hamilton Clancy July 28 to August 13 as the final show of the 20th season of Shakespeare in the Park(ing) Lot, a summer New York institution performed free in a municipal parking lot at the corner of Ludlow and Broome Streets in Manhattan's Lower East Side. Hamlet and Pride & Prejudice to be Performed in Rep at Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival

For the first time in its 20 year history, The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival will offer productions in true rep, alternating two plays with the same cast in the same theatre: Hamlet and Pride and Prejudice will play in rep July 19 through August 7 on the PSF Main Stage in the Labuda Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of DeSales University in Center Valley. SoBe Institute of the Arts presents the World Premiere of Carson Kievman's HAMLET Soundtheater/Opera in the Little Stage Theater on Miami Beach. This provocative, sophisticated, and radically re-imagined musical setting of Shakespeare's masterpiece was the final commission by legendary producer Joseph Papp ("A Chorus Line," "Hair," etc.) for the New York Shakespeare Festival / Public Theater. Due to Papp's tragic passing soon after the work was completed, HAMLET remained unperformed, until now. (more...)
