Centenary Stage to Offer 2013 Summer Shakespeare Intensive

An Acting Shakespeare Master Class will be led by veteran stage and film actor, Randall Duk Kim, and veteran stage director, Anne Occhiogrosso this summer at the Centenary Stage Company. Under the direction of these two acclaimed teachers, students in the Acting Shakespeare Master Class will focus on developing acting skills through the 'Bard's' great literary works that will aid and empower actors embracing auditions as well as performances. This class is designed for high school seniors, college students, and adult actors wishing to enhance their skills in classical language and performance. (more...)

Playwrights Horizons presents Far From Heaven, a new musical with book by Tony Award winner and two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Richard Greenberg (Take Me Out, Three Days of Rain, the current Breakfast at Tiffany's and The Assembled Parties both now on Broadway), music by Tony Award nominee Scott Frankel (Grey Gardens at PH and on Broadway, Finding Neverland) and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Michael Korie (Grey Gardens at PH and on Broadway, The Grapes of Wrath, Finding Neverland). Performances begin in just five weeks for the third annual Next Up, continuing Steppenwolf Theatre Company's commitment to Chicago's next generation of theater artists. Next Up features three productions presented in rotating repertory, in collaboration with Northwestern University's MFA programs in Direction and Design.
