At the Sadie Thompson Inn in Samoa, The Innkeepers have planned an unusual experience for their special guests: a reenactment of W. Somerset Maugham's 1921 short story 'Rain.' But thanks to a magician's time warp, the real Maugham finds himself on the guest list. Swirling together fantasy, history, humor and drama, Victoria Nalani Kneubuhl, winner of the Hawai'i Award for Literature and the author of The Conversion of Ka'ahumanu and Ola N? Iwi, re-imagines Maugham's steamy South Sea story in a wild romp of illusions, delusions and near fatal attractions. (more...)

Chiller Announces 2012 Programming Slate

Following another year of successes, including double-digit growth among Adults 18-34 and the premiere of its first-ever original movie, Steve Niles' Remains, Chiller has unveiled an all-new slate of original programming, it was announced today by Thomas P. Vitale, Executive Vice President, Programming & Original Movies, Syfy and Chiller. Vicki and Chris Le Vine, along with The Broadway Dreams Foundation, presented the third annual White Christmas at Sweetwater Farm and Grace Winery (50 Sweetwater Road, Glen Mills, PA) on Sunday, December 16. The festive old-fashioned piano party and cabaret featured performances by Broadway's brightest stars and talented local BDF students. Each year hundreds of students received valuable musical theatre training through BDF programs offered in partnership with Philadelphia's Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.
