In a Berlin nightclub, as the 1920's draw to a close, a garish MC welcomes the audience and assures them they will forget all their troubles at the Cabaret. With the Emcee's bawdy songs as wry commentary, Cabaret explores the dark, heady, and tumultuous life of Berlin's natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich.

Funny Girl gets a Brazilian production directed by Barchilon, starring Giulia Nadruz and Eriberto Leao as protagonists. With score by J. Styne, and lyrics by B. Merrill, the semi-biographical plot is based on the life and career of comedian and Broadway star Fanny Brice, featuring her stormy relationship with entrepreneur and gambler Nick Arnstein.

Kiss Me, Kate! is a musical written by Bella and Samuel Spewack ,with music and lyrics by Cole Porter. The story involves the production of a musical version of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew and the conflict on and off-stage between Fred Graham, the show's director, producer, and star, and his leading lady, his ex-wife Lilli Vanessi.

Deeply moving and wickedly hilarious depicting gay life in the 21st century, The Inheritance, brilliantly re-envisioning E.M. Forster’s 1910 masterpiece Howards End, opens with a 5-hour two-part play. A great success on Broadway awarded with 4 Tony Awards, including Best Play, the production will have its first version on Brazilian stages.

Sapiens – A Brief History of Humanity, by professor and philosopher Yuval Noah Harari, was the starting point for the play Ficções. After a successful season in Rio de Janeiro, the monologue, which marks the return of Vera Holtz to the stage after three years,opens on January 19th at Teatro FAAP, in São Paulo, for a season until March 26th.

After the success of Rio de Janeriro’s season, the play Ponto a Ponto (Amy Herzog’s 4000 Miles), directed by Gustavo Barchilon, opens in Sao Paulo on July 15, at Teatro B32. The show features Luiz Fernando Guimaraes giving life to a 90-year-old lady, Bruno Gissoni as her grandson and Renata Ricci in two roles.

THE DJANGO, downtown Manhattan’s premier jazz club, is commemorating Women’s History Month by hosting more than 20 leading female jazz artists on its stage during March.

The story is based on the character Luna, who gives the show its name, a young girl who lived all her life in the Arereje Community, a hippie refuge created by her parents hidden from the big cities. She lives a quiet life, but when she turns 18, she finds herself an orphan and feels something is missing from all that Paradise. That's where he “turns the corner” and meets Diego, a backpacker passing through the community, who enchants Luna leading her to believe that has finally found the last piece she needs to complete the perfect life.

THE DJANGO, downtown Manhattan’s premier jazz club, will continue to host today’s jazz legends and rising stars. On February 3, The Django celebrates the fifth anniversary of the Brooklyn-based record label, La Reserve, with special performances by the label’s artists.

Claudia Raia and Jarbas Homem de Mello are ready to return to the stage: Conserto Para Dois, O Musical opens in Sao Paulo on October 1st, at Teatro Procopio Ferreira. The musical is 100% Brazilian and features the two artists splitting up between 12 characters to tell the story of love and obsession of famous bestselling writer Angelo Rinaldi (Jarbas) with film diva and international celebrity Luna de Palma (Claudia).

As part of the cultural programming return in Brazil, Rua Augusta will receive an innovative show that will take drag art to one of the most diverse and cosmopolitan streets in Sao Paulo. Drag Nights, a project by drags Thelores and Alexia Twister, will open on September 10, from 9 pm, at Clube Barbixas de Comedia. Always on Fridays, the show is part of the schedule for the resumption of cultural activities in the city with all security protocols.

'Tempo' combines the sounds of ancient instruments with contemporary electronic production, resulting in an infectious tune perfect for summer BBQs and head nodding playlists.

Taylor Mac will premiere new play, The Fre, at off-Broadway venue The Flea. The Flea's Artistic Director and frequent Taylor Mac collaborator, Niegel Smith will direct. It has been revealed that the play takes place in a giant ball pit, with audience seating inside and out. The play is appropriate for a?oeall agesa??. 

Winner of the 2018 Humor Award, Broadway musical comedy [title of show] finally arrives in Sao Paulo in a short season, from Saturday to Monday, at Nucleo Experimental.

Finally in Sao Paulo the show that tells and sings the relationship of Brazilian Popular Music with Soccer, intertwining songs from Pixinguinha to Skank, with texts and chronicles from Nelson Rodrigues to Carlos Drummond de Andrade.

The Flea Theater hosted a Mac Wellman Symposium: THE ART OF STACKING THE DECK October 4-6, 2019. The three-day symposium was a rare opportunity for Wellman enthusiasts to gather to share stories and dig deep into the mysteries of Wellman's writing.
