Betty Buckley to Return to Feinstein's in 'The Other Women,' 10/2-27; Songs Revealed!

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY will continue its Fall 2012 season with the return engagement of Tony Award-winning actress and singer BETTY BUCKLEY. In an exclusive four-week run, Ms. Buckley will premiere her new collection of songs "The Other Women: The Vixens of Broadway." She will perform highlights from some of Broadway's most popular shows, but will celebrate the second female leads, who have introduced classics like "When You're Good to Mama" (Chicago), Another Suitcase In Another Hall (Evita), "I Know Things Now (Into the Woods), "Ribbons Down My Back" (Hello, Dolly!), "Whatever Lola Wants" (Damn Yankees) and "The Miller's Son" (A Little Night Music). Ms. Buckley - who will be joined by Christian Jacob on piano, Tony Marino on bass, Vic Juris on guitar and Todd Isler on drums - will also feature a selection from her new CD Ah Men! The Boys of Broadway, from Palmetto Records, which is based on last year's acclaimed Feinstein's show. The RRazz Room, San Francisco's premier nightclub, presents the return of Tony Award-winning singer and actress Betty Buckley from tonight, October 30 to November 4. This special one-week engagement marks the Bay Area debut of her show 'Ah Men! The Boys of Broadway,' based on her new CD. Buckley will perform men's songs from Broadway shows that she has always wanted to sing, including numbers from Sweeney Todd, West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, On A Clear Day You Can See Forever, Pippin, Mame and La Cage Aux Folles. According to The New York Times, "Ms. Buckley's show is a witty, powerfully sung female occupation of male territory, waged with good humor and gusto." Betty Buckley Presents Encore Performance of 'AH, MEN!' in Fort Worth, 5/15-16

THE LYONS debuted last fall at the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning Vineyard Theatre and now begins previews on April 5, with an official opening night set for April 23. Betty Buckley to Star in London Revival of DEAR WORLD

Tony Award winner Betty Buckley will be playing the 'Madwoman of Chaillot,' the Countess Aurelia, in a London revival of Jerry Herman's DEAR WORLD at Charing Cross Theatre, according to Buckley's Facebook and Twitter pages. Rehearsals begin in December 2012 under the direction of Gillian Lynne, and the show is set to open in February 2013, running for eight weeks until the end of March. (more...)
