Willie und Al waren einmal die „Sonny Boys", unschlagbare Komodianten, die landauf landab fur ihre Sketche gefeiert wurden. Doch das Ringen nach immer neuen Gags war ein standiger Nervenkrieg - weshalb Al nach 43 Jahren abrupt einen Schlussstrich zog. Mit den Solokarrieren ist es nichts geworden. Niemand interessiert sich mehr fur die einstigen Stars. Bis eines Tages Willie's Neffe Ben den beiden ein Angebot macht, das sie schon wegen der Gage nicht ablehnen konnen. Doch bereits beim ersten Zusammentreffen bricht die alte Hassliebe zwischen den beiden wieder auf. (more...)

Kaye Ballard, Liliane Montevecchi Star in DOIN IT FOR LOVE, 3/9-10

Hollywood and Broadway award-winners Kaye Ballard, Liliane Montevecchi, and Lee Roy Reams are to star in "Doin' It For Love," a Broadway-style tribute to the standards and the stories behind the music. Celebrating the finale of its Southwest Tour in Los Angeles on March 9 and 10, "Doin' It For Love" features a 10-piece orchestra conducted onstage by David Geist, the show's music director. Hilary Knight, the internationally renowned artist and illustrator, designed the poster art and collectables for the show. The profits from "Doin' It For Love" will go to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Investigation and Rescue Fund supporting undercover investigations and animal rescue efforts. „Grey Gardens“, basierend auf einer wahren Geschichte, wurde 2006 am Broadway uraufgeführt und mit zwei Tony Awards ausgezeichnet. Das Stück über zwei besondere Frauen, die an sich selbst und den Umständen ihrer Zeit scheitern, ist nun als szenische Musical-Installation erstmals in Deutschland und auf Deutsch zu sehen. Divisa tra due mondi si rapporta con un uomo, invece molto terreno. Lui un divertente misogino che riscoprirà la vita con la crescita del rapporto con lei. Ieri, 17 gennaio, ha debuttato in anteprima nazionale, presso l'Aula Magna della Sapienza, FANTASMI A ROMA, la favola musicale - basata sull'omonimo film del 1961 scritto e diretto da Antonio Pietrangeli - che aveva catturato la nostra attenzione grazie allo show case presentato il 30 giugno in piazza S. Silvestro e che finalmente abbiamo avuto modo di apprezzare nella sua interezza in forma di allestimento semi-scenico prodotto da Nota Preziosa di Massimo Sigillò Massara. (more...)
