BWW TV Flashback: Deborah Cox, Constantine Maroulis and More Talk JEKYLL AND HYDE Opening Night- One Week 'Til Closing!

It was announced on Friady that the new Broadway production of JEKYLL & HYDE -starring Constantine Maroulis and Deborah Cox - will play the final performance of its limited Broadway engagement on Sunday, May 12, 2013, after 15 previews and 30 regular performances at the Marquis Theatre. Direct from a 25-week national tour which launched in October 2012, JEKYLL & HYDE began previews on Broadway Friday, April 5, 2013 and opened on Thursday, April 18, 2013. The production was originally scheduled to run through June. Matchbox Twenty and Goo Goo Dolls Announce Third Ravinia Show

Due to popular demand Ravinia has added a third show for the double bill of chart-toppers Matchbox Twenty and Goo Goo Dolls on Thursday, July 4. Their previously announced July 2 and 3 concerts sold out in less than a day when all of Ravinia's concerts went on sale last month. Co-Grand Prize Winners Named at McCallum Theatre's OPEN CALL

Saxophonist Emma Reinhart and Vocalist April Murphy shared the Helen Turner Grand Prize Award at the McCallum Theatre's Annual Open Call Talent Competition on Saturday night, the first time in the event's fifteen year history the judges declared a tie for the top prize. The winners were announced by host (and Open Call 2011 Grand Prize winner) Rob Watkins following a rousing finale which featured all twenty-two finalist acts (76 individual performers) before a sold-out audience. The family of award namesake Helen Turner determined on the spot that each winner would receive the $2,500 grand prize. (more...)
